Default Help, no Vtec

My boss bought a h22 1996 civic. obd1 h22 into a obd2 car with a conversion harness and a chipped p28. Now when the kid had it, it pulled hard, and vtec engaged, but know, i dont know what he did. There is a VAFCII in there and i am watching my VTO and it says vtec is engaging, but, there is no switchover. I printed out the pinouts that i searched for already, and everything seems to be in the correct order except of one thing. On the C or D plug that plugs into the the conversion harness, there is a wire just jammed in there and i cant seem to find it on my pinouts. It is like c or d 25, i can take pics if needed, no digi today. I dont know what it could be. I was thinking maybe the soliniod was bad? how would i go about checking this. Any help is appriciated

is it throwing any codes? also try initializing all the settings on the vafc so it's back to default and go from there.

install a VTEC light. If VTEC isnt working you should throw a code. But if your use to VTEC crossover youll start to not feel it anymore like you use to. Atleast that happened to me once. So now i have a light to make sure it works (and this is a GSR)

then you should read both VTO and VTI, when there both on then VTEC is on. And if they say there on then there on.

Cant you take the noids ground wire and hook it up to a power source, shouldnt it click? ground sounds wrong but a wire from the noid hooked to power will make it click...try that
