what do i need to get this running?
1997 d16y8 motor in my 94 civic vx? explain between wiring, harness and what obd im gonna be using.id rather run the motor with all the parts ex. the obd 2 dizzy, alt and injectors? or what would the right way of doing this swap?

You will want to still OBD1 (which is what your car in). OBD1 is better for tuning and it is easier to convert the motor to OBD1 then convert the car to OBD2. In saying that, you can not reuse the d16y8 ECU, you can run a OBD1 P28.
Fuel injectors:
You will have to convert your OBD1 clips to OBD2 (if you have the d16y8 harness, you just cut and splice) OR get OBD1 injectors.
Your Alt:
OBD2 uses different plugs than OBD0/1, you will have to convert your harness (VX) to OBD2 style plug or reuse your old OBD1 alt or buy a OBD1 alt.
O2:
Your VX uses a five wire o2 and if you do not reuse your Stock VX, will have to convert it to a four wire (p28 is a four wire o2 ECU). How to do it is in the Big h22a thread at the top of the page.
