Function and Form coilover thread
its not hard at all guys...type 1's are great for a DD. do you really need a 32 way adjustable coilover?? if you do, then problem solved
Yeah I know how you feel mad affiliated every time i see someone start a thread for help all they get are others talking **** saying try searching but a lot of the threads that come up are old as **** so I guess we're on our own.
I just bought a set of type 1's this winter. I haven't been able to drive on them yet because we still have a couple feet of snow, but they're pretty nice quality. A lot better than what I had. And what i like about them versus the sleeve over shock type that I had is that you don't lose any shock travel when you lower it because of the monotube design.
There are a lot of people out there that don't like them, but everyone I know that's had a set has been really happy with them. Are there better coilovers out there? yes. But there is always going to be better, you've just got to drop the coin for it. And it's going to be the same issue with just about every part you buy for your honda, some people will tell you some parts are junk, but it's up to you and what you want out of your build. Because most parts aren't junk, they just aren't top line. In my opinion, these are very good for their price tag.

That's what I've been reading is that these are good for the price but I've also read that there crap. I'm just looking for something that you can ride lower than normal but still have some comfort.
ive been using type 1s for a year and a half now. they ride comfortably for everyday use in the city. not sure how theyd hold up for auto crossing though.
Yea, I finally made up my mind and will be end up going function form type 1's on the dd db7, plan on maxxing it out on some 16x8 +20 205/40 all around hehe, cant wait!
Been on Type One's for around 5 month's now and loving it!

Thank you! Love your sedan also, one of the few that I actually love on the forums!
I actually bought it from a guy on Craigslist and he purchased the set in 2006. I do know that they come in +13 & +17, but it's hard to come by. Not really sure if Kosei still produces them. Heard that Tire Rack only has what's left on the shelves.
