Also, what confuses me is how the adjustable mount is flush with the perch. Wouldnt the shock bottomout in the mount way before it hits that top perch? Even with the other 2 taken out..if anyone knows what im trying to say? Haha

I never took out perches, my rides are always at a reasonable ride height. I quoted someones post. I would assume the ride quality is horrible due to lack of shock travel.

as above, i'm sure it would bottom out as well. The coilovers were not meant to be set that low. Otherwise they'd be built accordingly and not need modification.

I agree with all, taking out the 2 collars will probably make the car ride like ****. IMO if you want to go lower bag it or go with Koni GC set up Ive heard they dump!

@Child

Damn bro your cars are so clean. What I like more is that you have a good *** camera to capture them beauty's not a phone lol.

What set up do you have? please PM me I know this isnt a camera thread lol

According to him
"they are acutally no name brand ones, basically the same thing though, of integra "ground control style" extended top hats. I was playing around with the idea of cutting my stop top hats and extending them, had these laying around and wala they fit perfectly hahah."

So I'm guessing something like this:

while the front had another 2" + to go without touching the preload I had to drop the preload in the rear a good 1"+ to get the height i wanted, so I put some extended top hats on for a one off function form coilover.

Hmm..Ebay type tophat? How's that going for you? Any problems or noises? Hows the craftsmanship? Is it like every other ebay quality? How was the fit on to the function and forms? Did you use a spring compressor to take the coilover apart? Chances are this is the mod I will do to lower the front more. The rear sits fine

Also, it seems as if you messed with the preload? Extended tophats generally don't lower cars, just give the shock more travel. So how is the coilover with the extended tophat lower than the one without?

with extended top hot you can lower the spring but still keep preload since the top hat sits lower

i've taken my coilover apart many of times when i was trying to figure out how to get the front lower and a spring compressor is absolutely unnecessary. for their isn't very much load on the spring at all.

here is a video from f2autolife on how to set preload after you have played with your coilover

Not maxed out yet. Still have some more room to go lower.

Alright so I'm on the hunt for a good suspension setup that is good for daily driving (meaning comfortable) and being a little low. Would those of you be able to say that function and form is the way to go and which ones the type 1 or 2, I'd appreciate any input anyone has, thanks.
