maxed in the front, plenty in the rear, rose it up from this about 1/2" and it rides phenomenal.

All the way down with the spring still preloaded (like it's meant to be) on tall 205/50's

I just installed some f&f type 2 on my fa5 not too long ago and I noticed a squeak coming from my driver side front coilover. I haven't messed with the spring pre load, all bolts for the whole thing are checked and tight. I also check the stoppers on the lower part of the shock where you can adjust the ride height...all tight. they have only been on the car for maybe two months and maybe 2k miles. anyone have any suggestions or ideas on what it might be?

any help is greatly appreciated.

Take them off and put them back on. That usually helps with my noise issues.

Can someone post pics of their rear F&F T1 coils? I've got some installed and I feel like a nut is missing where it connects to the rear control arm..? Is this normal?

This is how they are supposed to be. The bolt threads into the welded nut on the shock body.

Anyone can tell me how the type 1's handle?
I mean all I read is how low can you go but are they worth for performance?
Are they hard enough? The car feels more stable? less body roll?

I'm just affraid I'll be dissapointed from they're performance.
I know they go low enough and they're pretty comfortable and soft, but I'm more worried about how good they feel in the corners.

Car is a 99 EK sedan.

I also have a 99 sedan. I have type 1's on there and before i went crazy low with them. i had about a 4 month-1k mile breakin period where they were adjusted about halfway down and they rode like a dream. i still take hard turns 50+mph really low on these coilovers and they still feel great! Only thing i would say is dont adjust the preload and expect a great ride. leave them the way they should be and its good. my only complaint about these are fronts dont go low enough without messing with preload. i want to get koni/gc for the front

I've got them a couple weeks back. I've been waiting to really test them on turns and such because I wanted to upgrade tires/wheels before getting my alignment. Now that I've got those done, I need an alignment and I will be set to test them out. I know the car feels a hell of a lot more stable though. I haven't driven it hard on turns yet so I can't give you input, yet.

They handle pretty good. The body roll is drastically lowered from stock and can take turns like a champ. Tires are the limiting factor more than anything. I find that its easy to drive fast because it is balanced and oversteers at the limit. Great setup for a 1st time to get an idea. The rear lacks rotation a bit but a sway bar could fix that. My N+ are slightly stiffer in the rear and with them on the car turns in better than the FFs did but overall they are stiff enough but also fine for daily driving and are more suited for performance driving as I found them to be a bit too stiff for bumps but thats needed for a low ride height which is a main selling point on these.

Just installed my type 1's. Set as low as they can go without adjusting the preload.
