Thats really odd, Ive used very similar setup for almost all of my builds and havent had much of an issue. The pedal will get a bit softer after a 20-30 min track session, but should still offer plenty of braking force, just have to push the pedal slightly further.

What he said, are you following the correct bleeding procedure? You may have a pocket of air somewhere in the lines that only shows up after you run the car hard.

^ It could be the master cylinder wasn't bled properly. Brakeexpert on here has instructions on how to do it while in the car. Basically run a hose from the furthest caliper to the master cylinder essentially looping the fluid.

Out of curiosity why the prelude master cylinder over an EX version? The EX is a direct bolt on with no line bending.

welcome Kazuma! Nice but rough find, I'm partial to the color...

I dont have any info to add on the brake stuff, working on that myself - when I do my rear disc swap, how immediate is it that i upgrade lines if im planning on more autox/hpde days? I stuck with OE new lines.

The brake system will be open so might as well upgrade then and bleed it all at once.

Since its slow I will post my slow progress.
Got the car for $800 with no smog.
300k on body who knows how much on zc swap. What looked like light quarter damage and torn up front seats. I got it to learn and am quickly realizing that maybe it was not that great a deal. I am guessing the guy I got it off new it would not pass smog but I showed him. 2 failed smogs, new cat, new o2 sensor, running on that pass smog stuff I literally passed on the brim. Oddly the dash is in spiffy condition.

If you can locate another passenger seat you can fit the cover and foam to fix the driver side. How long did you drive prior to the emissions test?

Typically its reccomended to drive atleast 20-30 minutes and keep accessory's off. But at least you passed.

Got some nice da seats in. From what I read on the forums the word was that 3 holes will line up which was a lie! Maybe 3 line up on the 88-89 but not the 91. Atleast the rear 2 did. Dont mind the dirty carpet I cleaned it up after I got the brackets done.

can't you just swap the seat pan and rails from the original seats to the new ones?

is that piece of metal steel or aluminum?

Its steel, gonna weld it later. Actually tried to do the seat pan swap but it would not work with the da seats. The part where the bottom connects with the top is different. Let me draw it. Da seat i think was like this ( .] [. ) and civic was like this ( .] .[ ) Dots are where the bot and top connect.

Been working on it for a couple years actually. Got the engine from a friend back in 2011, mounts off CL and slowly piecing it all together. Still have to get fuel lines, wire harness, radiator, header and full exhaust system. Have axles and shift linkage ready as well. This build is kind of like my last official over the top build for myself. Afterwards I will be able to enjoy it.

Has anyone here used SCF products or know of the quality and fitment?

In the picture above you can notice how the master cylinder cap will not close. Apparently the 15/16's EX and skunk2 manifold do not fit together for this. So I measured the original reserovoir bottom and the one on the car which looks to be about 50mm and I can switch them for a little clearance.

Fiber Glass Auto Parts | Kevlar Body Parts | Carbon Fiber Auto Parts
I tried calling them and they never answered.

I ordered some door sills from them for my old CRX. They didn't fit my 88', but the quality was fair. Not high-end, perfect weave (like my custom dash), but decent. The weave was a bit twisted at the front of the piece. Parts showed up something like a week after I ordered.

I'll dig up some pictures, if you'd like.

If the fitment is close I'll try it out. Probably going to order the H22 spark plug cover first and then see about the spoiler later. Thanks for the Info. Pictures would be great if you get a chance. There is also a thread in the Drag section where someone else brought it up.
