6UL wheels by 949racing.com, lets see em!
I understand that 9" fronts don't make a difference and in your opinion it's dumb, I respect that but everyone has there style and likes and dislikes. I'll give you an example of what i think is dumb and useless, I hate when people have unbolt there front hoods so that it's popped up, for what is it better down force (acts as a front spoiler) to me it kills the flow from the hood to the body but thats my 2 cents and i don't go on threads and hate.
I've been rolling on stretched tires on my G35 and my wifes XB since 2007 and not a single problem, I believe this was talked about already in another tread. "Potential hazard to the public" modifying our cars in anyway is a potential hazard to the public, i'm sure when you did any engine mods you didn't have that in mind unless your car is track only and never driven on public streets.
If I'm honest, people who buy the 949 6UL's for looks (stretched tires as well), aren't really doing the wheels justice. My complaint also rings true for people running a stretched setup on something forged, like a Rotiform wheel. But, be that as it may, it's still going to happen. I know that my brain doesn't look at a die-hard performance wheel and think of the narrower tire combinations that can be had to make the wheel sit out on a car, but... I'm only one person with one point of view.
So, in all fairness, let's keep this thread about the 949 6UL's.
It's more interesting to just look at pictures.

Courtesy of Robert at Strictly Bidness. My specs:
Front: 15x8, 225/45
Rear: 15x7, 205/50
I've run 205's all the way around since I started tracking in 2005. Looking forward to trying out 225's and may shove 225's in the rear as well. We'll see.

The problem with running them on a 7th Gen. Civic, is that the tire size needed to fit them safely is going to have very tall sidewalls and are lack luster, when compared to running a +1 size wheel (16" wheels).

At any rate, the car looks sick though!

Should be fun at my next track day with all this new stuff. If it's too squirly now, I'm going to roll the rear lips and put 225's in the rear as well. To be honest though, 225's are not that drastically wider visually than my 205's. How they perform differently is unknown until I hit the track next month.

I have a pair of both 15x7 and 15x8 that I picked up for a separate project. I am new to the Honda community and need a quick answer for a CRX I am purchasing. The CRX is a 91 with Skunk2 coils. Would I be able to fit 15x8 inchers all around? or is 15x7 a better option? the offset is +36 for both. Any help would be great as I am purchasing this car in 3 days or so
