Re: The Official EF Discussion Thread
I have to disagree. It's obviously a work in progress.
I haven't been around in a while and things have certainly changed around here. People going through same major stuff and I totally feel for you guys.
Started a new job and took a major pay cut doing so. But the opportunity arose and I jumped on it. I have to keep telling myself that it will pay off...it's what I went to school for for crying out loud.
My first child will be here in any day now...pretty much freaking out right now.
With the new job and my first born being so close together I've never been so stressed in my entire life. Can't eat, vomiting, no sleep...someone get me some Vagisil!

UNlike you i have owned this car for 8 years and never once has it been to a shop unless for a saftey. I have done every single bit of work to this car BY MY SELF. Since i was 15 years old. (now take the time to bash on me all you want. the difference is it looks good and i did every thing my self.

The car still looks like ****. The bumper, the fact that the door still has trim on it, and the bondo showing trough stand out. You should never use bondo for anything other than filling very small pores AFTER using fiberglass. You need to use fiberglass because it doesnt absorb water. As soon as that bondo is exposed to weather it will absorb the water and start bubbling.

Re: The Official EF Discussion Thread
Why did you decide to run the trim on the door and nowhere else? Are those EG fenders/hood?

ok ill sput this plainly. thats a base coat. if any one knows what a back coat is... the car has already beem re sanded completly and all (bondo lines) wich is not bondo its tiger hair... and the trim was left on because two simple reasons. filling after and two it holds the skirt line. secondly gnx show me any work you have done youre self. you want to bash go do it some were else. this was suppost to be a friendly site. instead youre being a critical idiot. their is several things i could bash on youre cars for but i dont do i. and as whitestrips stated in shouldent matter what any one else thinks because in all honesty I dont care. Its my car and ill do what i want with it how i want.

How do you remove the fenders? And well done for assuming that others have just had a shop do their work. There are a lot people on here who've had their car for years, done the work themselves and got results that aren't nearly as sloppy.
Did you say you sanded it after this pic? I doubt that quarter would've come up flat without going back through the base coat.

Re: The Official EF Discussion Thread
I just bought my first Honda maybe 5 or 6 months ago. 1991 DX I've fallen in love with the thing, but a few weeks ago 2 valves stopped producing compression
Long story short, instead of buying another valve set I'm just swapping it for a D16a6 with an SI transmission I found at a local junkyard for a fairly decent price.
After much googling and using the search bar on this forum, I'm still a little bit confused about the swap. Are the only things I'm going to need to swap the engine a DPFI to MPFI switch? Will my harness (D15b) work with this SI engine no problem?
