Ugh, I hope so, trying to pay down debt on a salary lower than I would in industry is tough, I guess the sacrifices we make reward us in the end. Eating tunafish sandwiches so the crx doesnt get parted isnt fun.

Not doing anything to the new house till I get money from old one. Car is sitting most likely to next year

I have a letter from my mother framed and hanging in the garage from when I was 19 and really wanted to build a Honda. Amongst other things she had a quote in there:
"Too many wish to
be happy before
becoming wise."
And yeah, I ate ramen noodles. Used a little 4 cup coffee pot to cook them. Pour water in coffee maker, put noodles and spices in pot, hit start button, instant noodles. Mind blown.
Wow so many going through some major changes - same here - laid off, hired, laid off working again.
Just got my car back from the rebuild - had to overbore crank and pistons. Im at about 350 miles so far, taking it easy up to 600-1000 miles though.
Car feels great - however I had an issue with low idle when coming to a stop. I cleaned my IACV and that helped a bit - tried adjusting the idle speed as well, it helped a little.
Had a hell of a time finding what the idle speed was ACTUALLY supposed to be set at - you would think someone would list it somewhere. I used my HONDA Helms for the Del Sol as a guide for now. Anyone have the actual idle speed set up procedure and actual idle speed?
I've been trying to find another set of wheels for daily and use my type x's for autox only later - really hard to find something i like without breaking the bank. I like the 949's, the Rota RB's - but also Axis mesh (poor replacement for SSR mesh, but close enough). Any other ideas?
Under $1000 if possible. This is for a tahitian green Si hatchie

I'm not an EF owner, but I feel for what some of you guys are going through. I moved out at 19, worked two jobs during the week, detailed cars on the weekends, and lived in a **** hole 350SQ FT apartment for a while. Ramen noodles, macaroni and cheese, and PBJ was about all I ate for a couple years. I busted my *** at my full time job, got hired by a better company and I've been out of that rut for 5 years now. I've been really patient with my car and after 7 years of owning it am finally doing a B-Swap. I got the long-block for free, and have about $900 in the rest of the parts for the swap.... Sometimes it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but if you work hard and are persistent things will get better.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
the idel on the ef really depends on the motor. for me i run a zc sohc Non-vtech. wich is closley realated to the d16a6 or d16z6. the proper idle set for these motors is 750 rpm and a normal temp running motor. as far as i know most of the honda motors do run at 850rpm. but their are several things that could be messing with youre idle. check youre pcv valve, air filter, spark plugs for one out of gap or dirty, all ingition wires are healthy no breaks or corrotion on the ends, cap and rotor, and of course the ovb iac screen,
Here is a update of some work been done to my ef in the last weeks of so.

Guess i got some more sanding to do lol!!!

Are you looking for fitment advice? You will probably need alot of work to fit both options. i had a 16x7 at one point. car was jacked and it was still rubbing.
Put it this way. Hondas are not volkswagens. The rear quarters of every honda do not have very good clearence for wider wheels.

With it being an election year, and all. I just want to say. I am crxbart, and approve of this message.
Firstly its not (thick as you so kindly put it as terrible) its a small sheet. thats how the style of the side skirt is. most of that (thickness is fiberglass (skirt).

Looks like one
