i need to do something to my car. i'm getting burned out on life, work, and fixing up our house (almost done with a one-week down-to-the-studs and back bathroom remodel. been working on it constantly at night, and even with the holiday i still worked 55 hours this week at real work.
i need to get in the garage. badly.
my hatch needs a new radiator fabbedup (got the parts), and i need to drive it.
cant wait to do some snow-drifting in our lemons car too. lol. were' planning on going to an ice-race with it. that'd be a first for me.

I gotta say that I LOVE my crx, but after owning my beater hatch, I love them too. I just wish there was a power option for those damn pop out windows in the back.
Fukcin A our dryer took a **** AGAIN we bought it in march and this is the second time this has happend.... nothing like spending a Sunday at the laundrymat
Ya know Red, you have to have that, that something to do just for yourself, it doesnt have to be labeled a hobby, but just something for you to enjoy that is on no ones timeline but your own. I am pretty lucky my wife understands cars are just part of my life but of course they (wife and daughter) come first.
You just have to remember to take some time for yourself on e in a while or you get burned out on everything.
B16crxt, you're right, crx's are fun, esp on a track, but for the street I love a hatch, then I can take both of them with me for a cruise.
King, if you just bought it, you should have some kind of warranty coverage. Where did you pick it up?

Yeah it does just was gay that I had to go spend money that didn't have to be spent since we have a washer and dryer at home but sears is coming thrs to remedy the situation
busy ordering new parts for my car. going to the dmv to get the new car registered and then to the junkyard to see about getting my si towed away
I got a couple more hours of wrench time on the sedan yesterday. The hood is back on, which looks really nice after it being off for almost a year and a half. I installed the new temp sensor, bolted up the a/c delete duct, vacuumed the interior and bolted the seats back in. I'm waiting on my battery box to arrive for the UK and then I can finish putting the interior back together, which means mounting the battery and bolting the glove box back in. The final thing engine wise is fixing the coolant leak coming from the water neck thing in the back. We were hoping it would seal itself up once the motor ran for a while, but no such luck. Once that is fixed and it gets aligned I'll have her back on the road.
BOOSTED: So you just went crazy welding in supports for the bracket?
Probably helped it a lot.. I cant believe I didnt just build it from scratch the first time.
Crazy Lab picture... what is that?!
Nice Hatch Junky.. feeling the side skirts too.

what is the easiest way to remove the alternator out of the engine bay short of removing the manifold or am I SOL
I already took out the top bracket that mounts the alternator with no luck

Trust me an axle can be pulled much faster, plus pulling the intake manifold is a bitch and you have to get a new gasket along with bleeding the coolant.
