been ready-ing my hatch for my trip to VIR , halfway across the country, in 10 days.

built my splitter (fiberglass reinforced plywood...i can bounce on the lip of it and its SOLID...bolted to brackets i welded to the crossmember, etc)

got rid of my corbeau seats for a good price and picked up these kirkeys, gotta mount them and build padding (going to have velcro-in pads , wrapped in cloth)

tossed a LOT of stuff up there this winter, it was GREAT

seriously though, having a roof rack makes this car semi-useful to me now...i LOVE it.

basically, this stupid car goes on a trailer, gets taken to a track, gets the crap kicked out of it, slowly dieing.

then, i toss a bike on it , have more fun in the woods, get to have somewhere to drive it, etc.

its a pure fun vehicle now. i LOVE that. my daily driver is hanging from the rafters behind it. its helped me lose about 50 lbs...

Powdercoating can withstand heat better than paint, but stone chips I dont think so.

its drastically more chipping-resistant than paint, thats FOR SURE.

you wouldnt believe how much more strong it is than even the best paint. we use it on LOTS of stuff at work, and i dont think i've ever seen a problem with anything. ever...

Matt lives right down the street from me.... He's been super busy with work, two kids, and his wife's cake business. We both work in aviation and it is BOOMING right now. I bet he doesn't have any down time from 8-5 to make posts on H-T like we used to... I talk to him pretty often and cars are just on the back burner right now.

I got myself 4 fish as well... Goldfish! haha won em at a fair and they just keep getting bigger.

We keep setting a day aside to work on it and something comes up either for him or for me. It's hard now-a-days to find time to dedicate to the sedan... We will finish it someday though. My car needs some lovin too, so I'm hoping once we get his car done I'll have some funds together to throw at mine....

His old hatch was sold to a guy out of state I believe. Judging by the way the guy was talking when the car was picked up we won't ever see that car completed. Lot's of plans, but I'm not sure he had the funds to make it happen if you know what I mean.....

Pics from this weekend, check out my rear mad camber yo!

I need to get my rear fenders rolled so I can add a little more positive camber. My rear disc project turned into a money pit!

Use plenty of heat, make very slight adjustments to the wheel as you go and just take your time. If you are careful and patient you will be fine. I've rolled probably 5 cars now and haven't had any problems with the panels flexing too much.
