The Official EF Discussion Thread
Shiiiiiit, Forgot how much red there was in here! Just to make it clear I like ALL your RED cars.. but If I owned them, the red would go for anything! even Y-49!
As to the Head Gasket question, Ive never used any sealant. If you are to use anything just make sure its a very light film of it.

Oh man, I opened the wrong can of worms! I'm just saving my one and only red car for one of these...

Only red car I plan to ever own!
I love the color red though, just not on cars! Im sure there are plenty of people who hate black cars, silver cars, white cars, etc.
I love TG EF's, but I think it would look ridiculous on anything else! (someone please find a TG anything else)

and to keep my post ef related

Why does this ALWAYS have to happen?
I was taking apart the suspension on the ef all weekend, and today i was on the last corner pretty much on the last bolt, for the lower control arm to the subframe. Guess what happens. The nut that is welded to the subframe for that bolt broke loose cuz the bolt was seized to the bushing.
So what do i do now. can i just re-weld that nut, with it still being safe?

mines broken off on the left rear..i just hold it with a socket when i tighten the bolt....kinda hard to get in that little pocket with the torch tip, only reason i havent welded it. thought about arc welding it actually
Ya i know what you mean about how it pockets in. So you just use it as if it were just a regular bolt/nut combo?. Mine is the front passenger, but i cant even get a socket or wrench in there, thats my problem

Im always worried about the night on the drivers side mount that is welded on snapping off.. or any welded on nut for that matter.
