If I am wrong or someone thinks different please feel free to give me feedback.

Anyway my question is this would you guys recommend that I buy a whole Gsr trans to make the hybrid OR just buy gears? I do plan on a rebuild with bearings, seals, and synchros so would would be optimal in this case?

I appreciate any insight. Btw the car is a 90 ex 4 door with an ls for those that don't know. Thanks!
Anyone? Please keep in mind it will end up seeing boost.

Im no expert and I dont have any experience in hybrid trannys (that sounds funny) but I would just go buy the gears.. Unless you think you could sell the case and other gears it will just end up as junk. Also if synchros, bearings, seals all new.. why throw some old gears in. I would imagine that the boost down the road is gonna put some wear and tear on it so using a used part now may be the one thing that slows you down, down the road. As to the "is this a good set-up" I am not sure about that, I feel only time, driver choice, and use of the car make all the difference on what trans to use. Good luck with it.

Hello all, I'm new here to the EF chassis. I might be picking up an 89 si and was wondering what the differences were from 89-91? Any help is much appreciated!

doing a mpfi swap soon. putting an obd-0 ls in. Is an '89 Si harness necessary? Are the chassis harnesses all pre-wired the same like the '92 civics? also converting from auto-manual.

I know the seats and rails, the front end (bumper) and that's about all I know.
I wanted to kind of answer your question, does anyone have a more detailed answer?

pillar mount seat belts 88-89
door mount seat belts 90-91

so obviously door panels

bumpers, supports, brackets, are different between chassis. (grille shape, bumper lights, and moulding shape)

the window moulding and b pillar trim on the door

seat mounting brackets, seats themselves.

side moulding shape.

doors and jambs are actually different. found this out lately

gauge clusters/ hoods

88-89 corner lamps have 2 screws and clips in the fender, 90-91 corners mount like EG

Here's another picture of the splitter in its draft form. At least not it's fully mounted and painted. I swear you guys will see pics of the car after Sunday's event. The ASR brace/sway install took longer than expected.

Clean car. Never been a fan of CF or the extended wing tho, prefer stock wing. Never the less, clean. Had the LS's on my white ef and just sold them.

I finally got the right weather and some free time yesterday so I cleaned out the garage. Months of crap from the long winter had piled up, but now I'm ready to get the sedan running. I just wish I had some help to do it.

If I didn't have trips to tahoe and phoenix coming up, I'd head out there. I still have a good friend from sac out in OK city. I really liked brick town...and we all really want to see your car up and running!
