The Official EF Discussion Thread
Almost every time I pump gas in the CRX I have someone come up to me and talk about how they had one when they were young and how much they loved it. LOL, I love those days. One day I was driving to work and this lady pulls up next to me and told me how awesome my car was and she had one like it. Made my day!
I didnt even think of that.. I had a hatch for over a year and dont remember one comment. I have had numerous run in's all over the place with mostly older individuals while driving crx's. Solid point..
Looking forward to putting some elbow grease into my rex this weekend.. time to heat the garage and hibernate build all winter!

One of my friends her parents love my car.. He always jokes around and tries to get me to sell it. It's a pretty cool feeling when little things like that happen.
I like the wheels, personally. I've been wanting some era-specific wheels for the sedan for a while. I like the Kosei's, but they look too new. I'm interested to see what the new Enkei 92s will cost.

I'm thinking about buying them for the coupe...brings me back to '97/'98 in high school when I would drool over these
Going with a set of these...

15x8, wrapped in some fat all-terrains. Just riding out the steelies till tax return season. I think they'll compliment the "off-road" style quite well.

So here it is, hahaa.. nothing wild, as stock as she was in 89', but I got to dig into her today.. The guy is 81 actually. Its a 1989 HF, He still takes it to the dealer for work. Has the OEM service manual (he requested I take it it, just in case), The car is resprayed the original color. He just had Honda put a new clutch in it... I just put a radiator in it for him and some fresh fluids for now. I gotta say.. Ive never had an HF or base for that matter...all my EF's have been Si version's or previously swapped. This thing is slower than slow! but that 38-40mpg is amazing! I felt good working on this car, one. cuz I was helping an old guy out. but two. because it made me realize how rare these cars really are in good condition. Cant wait to start tinkering on mine again now..
I got 40 mpg driving down to SoCal. Un-freakin-believable.
I'm used to trucks and muscle cars. Seems unreal. Like driving a covered motorcylce, except slow as ***** like you mentioned. I have a civic base.

So awesome. That's EXACTLY what my CRX looked like in July of 2002 when I bought it with 106,000 miles from the original owner. I have the factory mechanical and electrical manuals too $$$
I gotta post pictures of it. Unfortunately, I had it swapped a week later. I have the original window sticker that states 52mpg highway. I achieved that on my way to LA to have it swappped
