The Official EF Discussion Thread
I'm not sure on the age group around here (26 myself), but 10 years ago, the EF was the chassis that a 16 year old could pick up for a relatively decent price and turn into something special. For the 16 year old crowd out now, they can do the same with an EK or even an EM. And why would they want a car that's older than them?!?!?
These are the cars that WE came up loving, hence the maturity difference between us and the "others".
Probably just talking out of my @$$, but what the hell
Anyone concur?

Anyone concur?25. And yes! as 23-26 isn't very old anyway.. we have all been driving for roughly 10 years now and that alone may bring some maturity. (I bet everyone in here at one point purchased some altezza lights or ricer fart can or even those awful under the car lights) but we/most of us, have matured into simply, enthusiasts. I feel the younger crowd is more competition amongst themselves. EF owners are the best!
Someones I wish we could change the name of this thread to: " A Handful of mature EF owners" b.c even we sometimes run out of EF related material.
"Did we all just become best friends?!"

20 bout to be 21 here next month and can proudly say i have never had a cart cannon or altezza's on my car. However I did have green neon underglow on my first car which was a '94 Suzuki Sidekick. That was back when I was 13/14 and into sound systems more so than automotive performance.
Car was given to me in my parents divorce settlement so tweaking it here and there helped take my mind off of what was going on. I can say i definently am not the most mature person and will tell you what's on my mind, but am still growing and learning

I've technically not owned an EF, but feel like I was partial owner of all of NaAllTheWay's EFs since I helped with the work. 24, married, never have had altezzas, never had a "fart can". I was always in to hot rods and race cars, so the whole flashy fast and the furious like cars weren't real appealing to me.
29- married, 3 kids. 2 of them are special needs and attend school 4 days a week about 70 miles away from where we live. I wish my wife had a EF, of some sort to take them in, but the Alero will have to work till we get our taxes back. I plan on finding her a 03-04 Oddyssey and junking the Alero. I have my hatch and a 89 beater sedan I got for free. This winter hopefully the hatch will get finished. Just waiting on $ really. Theres just a few things I want to do before I can consider it "finished". We all know they are never "finished" but a few of us can say we've been on the other side of the line.
buddies....
should i put the turbo stuff back on my car?
i could leave it alone and not have to do anything to it (but the current engine is burning a ton of oil at WOT, its old, and i rebuilt it crapily)....
or
i could toss the turbo junk on again, try and hit a big number, run 10s, and then dial it back and road race it all year again.
well, one of my more-fresh engines will go in next year.
i've lost the itch to work on cars. its weird. i think i'll take "gutty" to the dragstrip within the next few weeks...maybe that'll do it.

I, as well, never had a fart can, altezza's, or neons. I was also in it prior to "That Movie of Which We Do Not Speak" and can recall the first time I found the trailer on the net about 6 months prior to release. Initial thoughts were,"Hell Yes!!!". But within a week of release, the thoughts quickly turned to,"Oh No!!!". Every jackass with a Civic (around here at least) installed the 3 aforementioned parts and thought they were on top of the **** pile
I lurk in here too and occasionally post. I can't really say I own an EF until the day I drive it lol.
but you guys make me feel young. I'm only 19 and I'm building/restoring a 90 hatch. So it's as old as me.

I think that movie took money out of all our pockets by insurance on imports going up. Idiot ricers like the guy in my town that attempted to drive his del sol under a semi, which ended up with him spinning out of control, off the highway and blowing all four tires.
