Thanks for the info though Blu, I will be sure to let you know how it goes, not sure if pics are allowed or not that day... Gotta read the full rules.

i'd have to say no. true i'd have a good time, but i'd come back to a car that's still not running who's build my wife is currently sponsoring
on a side not, my latest purchase, which my wife funded lol
im still working on this. got it for a song. its for a D series. in the process of buying a traction bar to run it. slid over it with 320 real quick, plan on several more grits and polishing it. it looked like hammered hell when i got it.
spent all my car money to get it to this point:

only thing that needed to be done was tune, but since the engine i bought turned out to be a dud, i had no more money in my car account. so basically she's letting me use "family" money to finish

Buy an EF to part out. That's how I fund mine without the wife caring too much.
That's the one. Can't complain about $45 shipped for a header, though. I'd like to get the bisimoto eventually.

So does anyone know anyways to make the front end lower? My coilovers are all the way down..and I still have an 1" or so of wheel gap.....I want to be at or around this height with more to go.
These are a couple options I know of. I'm not a "slammed" fanboy, but I'm sure one of those guys would know a lot more.
1) drop forks (apparently hard to find due to being discon'd)
2) EG coilovers with EG forks
I had my ride height set perfectly how I wanted it, but during the process of this swap I'm going from auto to 5sp, power steering to non-power, deleting a/c and relocating and switching to a dry cell battery. Ballpark: I would say I'm dropping 150lbs so I know I won't be happy with the ride height when I put it all back together. My FF Type-IIs were all the way down in the front so I know I'll be in the same boat.

I wouldn't mind some of that haha
??
Since your spring perches are all the way down and resting on the lower body of the coilover, we could dis-assemble the coilovers on the front and remove the bottom perches. It would lower the front about 1/2". That may be all that is necessary to make up for the weight loss of 150lbs. I drove around for almost a year with the rear perches out on my car and never had any problems either.

Btw, I think 150lbs may be an underestimate...
