The Official EF Discussion Thread
what kit is that? and as far as i know, any RTA assembly will fit onto an EF chassis. I'd prefer to go with others than a DA since there are more bushing options for them.
i've spoken to a few suspension geeks who've told me that the CRX Si's geometry in the RTA is different then the newer cars. I would look harder for RTAs from a CRX Si then use something from a DC integra.
and also, i just checked. they are different part numbers between 91 CRX Si and 95 Civic Si. Is there a reason other then the geometry of the trailing arm that would make them different?
I think your right about the different numbers no matter how similar the part. I sold the arms.. got a decent price. If I am to do rear discs again I would just source CRX Si arms anyway just so I dont have to go through the trouble of getting the right RTA bushing/bearing.
Happy to be selling parts though, gonna put the funds towards finishing the first project!

Here's a question I have. Is the ball pivot point on a shifter supposed to be lubed? I'm not sure because the shifter from the '89 hatch with 245k miles I parted out was bone dry. When installing the Skunk2 I wanted to be sure it's done correctly.
When I changed that bushing cage (that goes around the ball) on my shifter years ago I wanna say I hit it up with some white grease prior to installation. Im sure a dry lube would work as well.
And the only RTA's I would run on an EF would be crx Si ones. All the other RTA's throw the rear wheel fitment off a little bit.

I think its if you use a trailing arm from any other car, along with all the components (camber arms, lcas) thats when geometry starts going wacky
from my experience, using DA rear trailing arms on a crx gives you ungodly amounts of negative toe. i bought a toe kit from blox thinking that would correct it, but that didnt work, so i bought a cylinder of aluminum that was long enough, drilled it, tapped it and used the endlinks from the blox kit, and now it is sitting pretty. it deff. widens the stance of the car when you use RTA from a wider car.
As for the rca's you can just go to an autoparts store and ask for lower ball joints for an ef/eg and compare diameters. A roll center adjuster is just a longer lower ball joint (which you may not even need), I think nick may have some experience with them. If it was me id just get oem or napa lower ball joints and call it a day.

The rear trailing arm bushing will make the car feel great. Iv done them on my last 2 cars Mugens on the ED and Hardrace on my EG.
This is just my opinion but id shy away from ES, as there are better bushings out there. (oem, hardrace, and mugen).

I'll go Mugens for the RTA bushings though
And I'll have to look
and if it makes a difference I'm already running eg/dc forks for my coil-overs
Yea you should be fine. I think people lube the ES often to prevent premature wear/binding, so just keep an eye on them.
Mugen RTA Bushings

Hardrace RTA Bushings

You will save about ~$65 going with Hardrace and they are just as good as the Mugen parts.
