It also blocks the path of the vent tubes so they are useless opposite the steering wheel.

Anyway, if you have any questions, just ask.

I went and checked it out. Are you using your stock clutch pedal?

I don't see why any additional modification would be necessary. The pedal sets are the same regardless of lhd or rhd, right? Might have slightly larger issues with clearance of the vent tubes but otherwise it should be the same. Should line straight up with the firewall passage used by the factory cable clutch as well.

Yeah, stock pedal set only slightly reinforced.

I did some digging and answered all my own questions, lol. But thanks. There's no way I'm buying that. I'm just going to make one myself. I will put up some pics after all is said and done.

Also I'm not worried about the air vents, I took all that stuff out. My car is strictly for Summer use. I will be mounting my fluid reservoir where the windshield wiper arms used to be inside the frame under the windshield, directly above the master cylinder. Also, I'm pretty sure that the reservoir has to be mounted Higher than the Cylinder and that the line from the reservoir to the cylinder should never point downwards.

I have a trans question... My 5th gear sucks. lol At 80mph I'm at 5,100 rpms. I was thinking about getting an ls 5th, but... I cant do that. Does anyone know a good transmission shop that does this? Or... do you think I would be better off just getting whole ls cable trans and swap it.

i think you'd be better off finding an someone that'll recommend you to someone that's good at transmissions...shops are expensive. i loved my ls transmission but the main bearing was going a friend of mine was going to put that ls 5th gear in my B16 Y1 transmission, but revs aren't as bad as the S1 or YS1.

I still have a extra b16 cable tranny laying around if anyone is interested. I really got to get to cleaning this garage out! I have enough crx parts laying around to make 2 or 3 more.

Wait, please enlighten me. What would be the result if this were not the case? My system works fine but I'm not sure on the clutch, flywheel, pressure plate setup on the car as I never split the tranny from the motor. Anyway, my pedal is REALLY stiff and I'm not sure if this could be the "problem" or if I have a beefy PP.

NOTE: This is all hypothetical, I haven't walked out to the car to see how high I mounted the reservoir but I know that I didn't take that into account when I mounted it

there are lots of trans "gurus" in the midwest.

mistabone is somewhere east of you, cant remember where . might want to find him and see if he can do it for you.

might want to ask around and see if anybody in the indy area is known to be good at it.

OR...

buy the haynes manual for your trans (whatever car it came out of), read the trans section, and do it yourself. its actually surprisingly simple.

Holy crap! What tranny do you have? I'm running a 97 ITR tranny and my rpms are only at 4550 @ 80mph. Dont get an LS transmission dude. They suck. It will make your car feel slow as ****.

Exactly why I try to avoid asking for help. Aside from getting the motor lowered into the bay, my entire build has been by myself. I LLOOOOVVVEE wrenching... but I've decided only when it's on my cars

But yes I feel you, my buddy bought a POS 97 Lude that has given him nothing but **** and he wants me to give him a hand working on it. His argument everytime is,"But you enjoy this ish, you do this for fun!!" Yes it's fun driving/benefiting from a car that I built myself, not fixing your bucket.

I usually still fix there cars just because I do like working on them. But the **** is getting old. Would rather have them in there wrechin with me then just standing there. I miss the times of me and some buddies hangin around the garage drinking some beers and working on cars while we talk about girls....ahhh the old days. haha.

Soooo the colts are going to the superbowl.

Duke university is where they go. My other sister goes with her cause she couldnt possibly handle the treatments and all the other stuff by her self, they make mini vacations out of it.

check the fluid level in the tranny it might have leaked a lil (if the shift rod seal or the case might have a small leak) and having it up on stands for a while it might have leaked down
