How about an Ariel Atom equipped with one of these bad boys from an M1 Abrams?

1500HP of flame-spitting fury. Not to mention it takes diesel (good on the monies)

is that much power even needed on the course??

I Just don't see a point to having a 500hp crx. That power is never going to see its full potential if not built properly</TD></TR></TABLE>

The point is either to pull on streetbikes on the highway or kill myself, i havent figured out which one yet.

I don't think that would fit. On the contrary it is pretty easy to make 900whp with a K series that directly bolts in.

The point is to decimate all, duh!

Right, but your car is way down on power compared to an STi. If we built a 500whp turbo B motor, and put it in a CRX with Motons, and 225-45-15 RA-1s, and had a suspension engineer tune the suspension, then what would the outcome be? </TD></TR></TABLE>

you could have engineers work on the STI too, ya know.

we were talking about boosted chemists car on a roadcourse. take for example hasports k swapped supercharged crx. that car is setup for timeattacks, and is probably one of the quicker CRXs around that do it. but im sure we can find a dozen STIs that will pull faster lap times.

Just wondering if you took a crx and a wrx. Took the same amount of money (including purchasing the vehicle) and dumped it into them. Which in the end would be faster? Track time of course!

sorry i had to jump on this so late but...bart you have to understand that fwd becomes a serious deficit when you are making north of 350ish whp...for example skunk2 ran an rsx with 500hp in time attack and it was siginigicantly slower than the b-series powered eg tage was driving...if what you said was true there would be alot more turbo hondas roadracing

While I agree with what your saying, TOP FUEL Japan's turbo time attack EK hatch has ran in the low 58 second range at Tsukuba, pretty sure that would beat any Honda Challenge car.

I could care less about the WRX. I will never have one myself. I was just trying to end the whole descussion about it. Everyone saying one or the other would be better. Well I figured that would be the only way to see which would be the better investment....

Still looking for springs. Hoping MatchHo comes through for me.

Does anybody have the actual weight of JDM doors without the crash beam versus 88-89 USDM doors without the door-mounted belts? I have a set of bronze door glass to slip into my 89 doors, but I've been wondering if getting the JDM doors is worth it to shave off a few pounds...not to mention my doors have rust bubbles on the bottom and like 3 layers of paint

That video is horrible.

It's 2.13 a gallon here in Mid Ohio. I can't believe NY is so gay. That sucks Justin, I remember filling up in NY when I went to Niagara and it was like a dollar higher in NY then. What's the Cali prices like?

Not sure, but it is a big difference. I got USDM 88 doors, and cut the beams out. It was a huge difference, like 60-75lbs a side, less than my 89 USDM doors.
