Can someone please tell me what the compression test results should be near for a stock d16a6? I was troubleshooting a friend of mine's 88 si, and his compression readings were stupid low(30-80), with the timing perfect. We put a little oil in the cylinders and it bumped up a little, but not enough. All valves open and close, it gets spark and fuel, but just wont run. He said it ran normally and the next morning it wouldnt start. He said it's always felt very weak though. I told him to just leave the plugs out for a day or two then try to start it again, if no success, we are gonna take the bottom end apart and rebuild. Anyone got a good set of A6 pistons laying around, JIC?

What does everyone play on mw2? I play reg. team deathmatch. I used to play hardcore on 4 and 5, but there is just too much camping on this one!

Goodluck! ^^
Kinda hard to say and most of the time each gauge reads a bit different from the next anyways. Generally though, Id say at least 100psi per cylinder is what I would expect. I think my old sohc zc read somewhere in the 170psi range. It was a strong little engine. If the oil in the cylinders didnt do it, then most likely its not the bottom end at fault. Remove the head and have it inspected. If the fault(s) are found, reinstall it and leave the bottom end alone (that is if there's nothing wrong with it).
When my buddy rebuilt his stock D16A6, he got around 150psi off all cylinder's with just a few psi variations. Mind you, I live in Albuquerque where the elevation is close to 5,000 ft. so that would probably affect a compression test negatively. Since you live in South Carolina where the elevation is close to 0, a D16A6 in good condition should net you around 180 psi per cylinder with slight variation. Sounds like it's time to crack that baby open and throw some new rings and valve seals on it.
Goodluck! ^^

On an EF related note, we got 14 inches of snow on Thursday so my car hasn't moved since then. This place rarely gets more than 3-4 inches. This storm was the worst in the State history, they said. The RDX loves it, though.
PS3 ALL THE WAY BABY WHEW WHU
MW2 is freakin amazing. And team death match is all filled with campers. I'm a run and gunner person myself. K/D is 1.04
Scar-H and the Tar-21 are the only two gunds I use with red dot only.
I would give you my sn but its pretty racist lol

if I tell you, it won't be fun to play anymore because people will really know I'm not racist.
But I basically act like I'm Clayton Bigsby (thats not my sn though)
