well, there is one fan for the regular cooling system and one fan for the a/c system.
there are 2 relays up by the headlight, one is the compressor cut/clutch relay and the other is the fan relay.
if the fan does not kick on and the relay is cycling that is usually a sign that the fan motor is bad and the circuit is getting overworked. or that there is poor ground on that leg of the circuit. (both issues cause high resistance in a circuit)

F'n AC problems man...Just got my system working and took the car out for a spin to test it out. I put the AC pully together wrong, hear a clunk, look out the rear veiw and see it rolling down the side of the highway.

Batteries are dead. Im having a problem with the pass side front corner sticking up a 1/8 of in inch, and ideas how to solve this?

if a relay cycles quickly it will sound like that.
sounds like you should just recheck teh wiring and hookup direcft power to the fan to see if it turns. if the fan somehow siezed you would have high resistance in teh circuit and therefore some electrical gremlins may surface.

youre the chemist, mix up some **** to make new batteries.
also, mix up some **** to fix the corner. geeeez

I think the hood is hitting on the headlight bolts, need more test to confirm.
I make drugs and plastics not batteries
(i hate p chemi
Organic ftw
)

if so what are teh pressures.</TD></TR></TABLE>
I do, but I had my mechanic take a look at it a few min ago. The fan wasnt engaging, so we knocked it and it ran. It didnt cool the lines down anymore, and the ticking just kept happening. The pressures were all good, it was sealed perfectly, but when i did get it charged, it was at 300 instead of 200, but was supposibly because the fan wasnt engaging... ugh i dont know.

system pressure will go up with more heat but not usually that high. there is a pressure switch that is on the lines that cuts teh voltage to the relay if the pressure gets too hig or too low so the compressor doesn't take a ****.
just going by the descriptions you are giving it sounds like you need ot investigate that. it seems as though you have a good charge and no leaks, you just need to get all of the **** that makes it function properly functioning.

hood shouldn't hit the headlight bolts at all.
might not be lining up properly with the T-Bar which is the most common issue

simply disconnect the pressure switch and see what happens. if the low side pressure stabilizes and the high side comes back down to around 180 it is likely the pressure switch.
depends. not all cars have a shrader valve in the fitting so if you unscrew the switch you may bleed all of your refrigerant. as far as civics go i don't know. the ac in my eg sedan works fine so i don't mess with it. and all of my ef's i either removed it or they didn't have it.

Its a carbon FI sir hood.
Screw it , my fuel line **** is here, worst case senerio i can drop back to usdm and just turn it up to 20psi and ill be happy again.

yup, my FI cf hood does the same, more so on the driver side than passenger side though. I think im gonna dremel small depressions or even make holes on the underside of the hood so the bolts wont hit.
