It appears to be that way. After reading on the that thread that there are two kind of JDM t-bars that can be used. I would assume most people are getting the EF9 ones and not the EF1 or EF3 ones. They are different in where the hole for the hood lays. the EF9 SiR front ends a forward about .5-1" inches further then USDM and EF1 hoods so it requires modification that most of people with SiR front ends don't know about (including myself)
and so if you don't do it right the first time most cases the hood will come unlatched while driving on bumpy roads (while you T-bar is rattling) and fly up on you
I recenetly fixed mine so it won't be happening again to me but I'm still going to buy some hood dampers and hood pins for extra piece of mind. </TD></TR></TABLE>

From what i understand the jdm ef8 and usdm are the same placement of hte latch on usdm cars, u need the ef6 or ef7 one for it to work like oem

From the pics it looks like you overlapped the fender by about 6 inches and its a noticable color shift...at least in the picture. Will color sanding blend that better? looks better in pictures but turned out fine </TD></TR></TABLE>

Fenders were changed out for new ones that I sprayed in a different location. The hood, front and rear bumpers were sprayed earlier as well!

I'm having a dilema:

Putting b16 in car
Ok two choices to choose from

Go YS1 LS tranny w/ 3rd gear grind for $100 (money will be set aside to get it fixed before it goes in the car)
or
YS1 tranny with LSD for $200 w/ 4th gear grind (money will be set aside for this to be fixed before going in car)

Here's some advice for those of you that have limited time. I went over to the shop and spent about 15 minutes sand blasting the engine bay. It cut through the seam sealer like it was nothing. It was sooo much easier. I've got sand in places it shouldn't be, but it worked great. I might take a vacation day from work and spend it blasting all day.

Yeah, he's right. The tranny in my CRX would pop out of 5th on the highway about every 10 seconds. I worked about 20 miles away, too. It was horrible. That's pretty much why I decided to buy that beater Accord.

Did you have enough trans fluid? Not enough fluid will cause it to do that.

see thats the thing. I don't trust people and tranny anymore. I have gone through two trannys on my Integra purchased them from people who never stated it had a grind but I end up finding out it does after installed. Can't go after the person because its just a waste of time and all. So buying one that someone already said has a grind is ok with me because atleast I know it needs to be fixed, and I'm willing to accept that. I would rather pay cheap for one that has a grind and the seller lets me know then from someone trying to make a quick buck and selling it for more and doesn't disclose the info to me.
know what I mean??

That tranny was garbage, and no, it wouldn't hold fluid.

It looks like I might be going to Japan in June for a week. I plan on buying a suitcase while I'm there to pick up some parts provided I can find a junkyard. If anyone has any info on junkyards in the Yokusuka area pm me!
