All this talk of hoods flying up and ****, MY FI hood is really light and a bit flexible. Coupled with the fact that this happens to jdm hoods alot on efs...I might wanna do some pins or ****. Any one have any ideas of pins to use that don't look shitty?

Looks to be. There are two for sale in Japan with the J's hood. The other one is black, and has a mugen kit.

These are the J's pins.

I'm thinking maybe some sort of emergency cable system on the under side of the hood. I really would rather not have hood pins.

I wouldn't ever buy one, but it's cool to actually see one on something other than a J's car.

I don't know if I told you, but a well known manufacture of Honda parts, is building a prototype k24 RBC clearing hood for the crx. No eta on a production unit, but there will be one.

Looks like an 03 cobra hood on crack.

use google for "aero hood latches"
they have some flush fitting lashes knocking about that are subtle and hardly noticeable
personally i would prefer them cos noone would nick your pins then and some of them are lockable

Nice! Any idea of what it's going to look like? I'd like an SiR style hood, but with the extra 20mm of height for clearance. If I decide to run the RBC, I'll just modify the i.m. like Dr. Charles did.

I've seen those done before, but that's even a bigger whole to cut.

yes it will be similar to the stock lines, just higher. They only have a USDM unit right now, but I urged them to make one for a JDM EDM front end. They probably will too.
may i suggest bungi-cord then
if you dont wanna cut holes, how about just ensuring the structure holding the original latch on is sound and possibly reinforcing it as required to make sure it doesnt rip out

To each his own on the homo comment, dampers>prop rod IMHO. I would worry about the car more than the hood. You can run over FI hoods with a corolla with no damage. If you are really worried about it I will trade you a metal SiR hood for yours, then I will put ugly pins it it, just to be safe, and paint it, so it looks good. LOL
Edit oh wait i have homo dampers I don't need pins. LOL

I'd also rather have dampers than the hood prop rod, like you said. Did you modify them from a DC2 or something?

Yes sir, you are most definitely correct. Just have your friend get back to me, Bart.
Edit: Mine's never been used either. I still have DPFI.
