I found this awhile back.

go to your local paint store and tell them you need large flake silver(#2002) and medium blue(#120) spray the silver on the part until its evenly covered and then spray the 120 blue over that until you get the desired effect...thats the way cusco parts are painted..they have that 3d effect..the blue when reduced turns really transparent and when the silver is sprayed down first it shows thru the blue to make that 3D effect ive painted valve covers, intakes, strut tower bars and a few other small pieces the popular cusco blue for a few buddys of mine everytime it looks perfect and i just told you how i did it..good luck

Anyone know if the EF9 radiator support is needed on an EF9 front end conversion? I might have access to a cheap front bumper and set of headlights so I'm thinking of piecing a front end together. Any help?

You want 90-91 ef1,2,3,7

EF8, and 9 are the core supports are different, and they use the standard style like we have.

How much do they usually run? I can source a bumper for $50. Should I get a front end together or just flip it for a profit?

Does it have fog light cut outs? I have an EF9 bumper with the cut outs, but I don't want fog lights. I want to trade someone.

I have an EF9 rad support, I'll probably try to just mod it to work.

JDM front FTW. I just found one on ebay earlier for 150, but that is way high. 50-75 is cool.

The USDM rad support doesn't look much different than that 1.5x support. It doesn't look like it'd be hard to move that latch back half an inch or so on the USDM one. My car is being cut/welded on right now anyway. What do you think? Maybe I am missing something.

It needs to go forward not back. Here is mine shimmed forward. I think I am gonna cut my core support, and move it forward. Then it will look as oem as possible.

I wish I didn't hate hood pins. That's a much easier solution.

What about relocating the latch part on the hood? I don't remember what it looks like, it may not even be an option. I'm just throwin' ideas out there...

I had a better plan to my catch for the hoods, Make a 18" ( i need to figure the exact length out) Line of cable with a loop at both ends. Secure one to the latch on the hood. Close the hood. Now the cable should only have an inch or so of play. Mount a clasp, hook or whatever on your traction bar and reach under the car and latch the cable to the clasp on the traction bar. Yes it seems like a pita, but i rather do this every time i close my hood then loose a windshield.

LMK what u guys think, maybe a quick paint diagram would help
