Yeah single stage is integrated clear. Most people confuse single stage with paints that dont require a hardener which isnt true.
Depending on how much orange peel is in the paint I usually like to start with 1500 and finish it out with 2000 grit. If there is alot of peel or trash in the paint than you can get away with 1000 grit but you have to be careful around the edges or you will burn through the paint. Use a flat sanding block for best results. Also, mix in a little dawn dish soap into a spray bottle for wet sanding, it helps lubricate the paper and wont clog it up as fast. I used to use a bucket for wet sanding but a spray bottle is the way to go.
Are you going to polish the car yourself James?

The sad thing is your probally right. ... "i was going the paint store and in the side street some asian girl signals for me...."
A buffer and someone with talent behind that could really make your hatch shine man. I would drop some loot and have some one cut the paint.

I was going to take it back to the people who painted but hoping that maybe wetsanding could be included with the paint job since its under warrenty and all and it didn't come out quite like I wanted but they told me it cost another $200 to wet sand. And even then they don't really reccomend it, because its white and you usually don't have to wetsand white because it doesn't show as much like dark colors and orange peel

That's funny that the shop doesnt recommend color sanding, its the only way to get a near perfect finish! Sounds like the shop is being lazy!

Not too bad for a single stage paint!

I ran out of time for doing body work on the front bumper so I had to just concentrate on prepping where the blue paint is. The front didnt turn out too good because I had to rush it. Its ok though becasue I'm really good at doing touch ups! The unpainted trim pieces are being sprayed with SEM bumper texture and sprayed over with SEM trim black. Taping off the grill and trim areas was a royal PITA!
Here is a teaser pic of my new wheels, yes I know the offset is low but I like the look. Thanks Eric for the wheels!
