I wish I could show you guys my car but A) in my opinion it's not finished -- I want something I can REALLY be proud of to show you guys B) its not even ******* functioning right now C) I don't have a camera

i find it funny that you say...."thats why you are supposed to not half *** or try to rush things, especially paint"
but poke fun at a month long paint process
as long as there is color sanding going on between coats theres nothing wrong with taking your time and making sure everything is good and straight.

if i could find the what page it was when he was talking about it being super cold and having to add tons of reducer? or hardener to the paint mix when people were telling him that it wasnt a good idea, but he did it anyways and ended up having having to sand everything down and reprimer? due to fish eyes, and other issues with the paint (and i think he also said bodywork). im all for DIY, but rush jobs are not good. i have done rush jobs myself at times and paid for them (in time and money). which in the end, it ended up costing chad a lot more time and i dont know how much more money to fix the paint snafu.
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by gospeedgo1 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">chad, did you finally finish your paintjob that has almost taken a month yet?</TD></TR></TABLE> do you really call that poking fun??? i dont really, but can see how it may lightly be considered that. it was a valid question seeing as he was asked a few days before about its status, and it has been about 3-4 weeks since he started the actual base coat painting.

EDIT: i remember him saying it was super cold, and windy, and he was having problems with the paint. he could have taken it to a paint booth and either painted it there himself or had it painted (seeing chad talking about getting a rhd crx and long work would make you think that he would have the resources availible)

if people want to get hurt by e-thugs, typed words, etc. then by all means go ahead. "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me". chad's persona on this forum made him seem like someone tough, not easily offended, and definitely a smartass. i guess i find myself disappointed in how he reacted, very defensive when he always seemed so offensive and capable of such wity comments at times. this thread is getting more lame though. how about keeping it back on subject.

ooo, this guy has crx sir seats for sale in the yay area.

so....asking you how many cars you have painted is letting you down?

how many cars have you painted?

someone who says "what was it...reducer?" obviously doesnt know his *** from a hole in the ground. so you have repaired a VW bug fender? 1/4 car?

&lt;golf clap&gt;

so...chalk you up for fender repair on a VW bug. this gives you all the right in the world to run your mouth about how long it takes me to paint my car, working an hour at a time. and assuming i live for honda-tech is just ******* stupid. thats 3rd grader **** son.

I like the camo idea. Sure, I may be jocking some EG dude's car from Team*Sloth, but whatever, everyone copies everyone in the Honda scene, but I'd definitely like to get camo fabric to use for the cloth part of the door panel, but with a Rio Red hatch, that'll look disgusting in my opinion. I'd like to paint my car a dark *** grey Then it would look nice IMHO. Hell, white, charcoal, and black would look nice with it, too.

this is probably a Vega question. Did any usdm crx's come with that arm rest? I found one in a crx si last summer in a junkyard. I was hoping it would fit my hatch, but it didn't work. So I sold it.
