correct answer =
only 88 is chassis mounted. 89-91 are door mounted. however all the door panels are interchangeable. the door is still the same size.

you CAN NOT swap doors back and forth between the 2, because the jamb is different shaped.

but to be correct you can change the doors. I corrently have 1989 civic STD doors on my 1990 Hacth. The whole door..both of them...with power windows....and no seat belt mounted door...booyaaa

the CR-X vs Hatch way will range on for years until they make some kinda of die-cast model of our car.
Why the hell do they do everything CR-X and not hatch.
Gran Turismo has never had a 88-91 hatch on the video game. They are missing a huge amount of fan base not adding our car
I have GT2,3, and 4 and have never played any of them because they don't have my car.
I go to car model shops and I have never found my car. I will never be able to make a lil die-cast model of my car and place it on my dash for shows. Thats extra display points down the drain...
freakin modifiers even have CR-X models

I think I'm getting an 88 civic soon... Just have to wait to hear back from the guy as to when. He says it only needs a dist and a windshield. Its a 4 door dx. I drive an EG right now but before that I had an 89 civic sedan. I loved that car but I drove it into a curb at about 40+mph at full lock.

No way. They are essentially the same size car. I've had both crx and hatch, and either one would not be good in a major crash. I love both. After I get done with the hatch I will probably go back to the crx's, and get a rhd glass top

Still my favorite red hatch It makes me want my painted that much more. The guy told me he should be able to get it in and out within Jan.

 

I don't know if its true but I think I heard something about CR-x being made of different metal then a Hatch??????

I might just be pulling **** out my *** though

nah but seriously i heard somebody say that. He probably hated CR-X like I do though because he wanted a die-cast model too so he was just catering to my desires of a die-cast model.

If anyone know of anyone who works for Micro-machines and Modifiers please email them telling them to come up with a die-cast model so I can play with

My car is USDM my firewall is JDM.

 

a short story you guys might get a kick out of. happened last night.

friend is buuilding an lsvtec andi have been ushering him in the correct direction. he gets the block back the first time and i am torqueing the head down with arp headstuds for him. well one of them wont torque past 24 ftlbs. so i pull it out nad sure enough, that hole is stripped out.

he looks like he is about to cry and i assure him it is fixable. and it is. its called a heli-coil. or a machine shop tap and die set. well he drops it off at the twenty-nine palms BAR AUTO DISMANTLING MACHINE SHOP and they say theyll take care of it. i was not present when it was dropped off. the machine shop got a CHEVY HEADSTUD and just cross threaded it into the hole and called him the next day to pick it up.

he brings the thing home and my jaw hit the floor. i knew exactly what it was. i said "thats out of a ******* 350!!!"

i immediately call BAR and inform them i am going to report them to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU of which they are a member. they are done.

now what i ask of you people is this. call them and ask for random machining tasks on your honda engine. anything. head milling, block assembly, completel engine assembly. see what they say. they will wonder why they are getting inundated with honda calls. hahahahaha
