ok

what year did hatches go to door mounted seat belts?

older door panels will fit in my 91 right? CRX?

I have a 91 and I plan on getting something after market in the way of seat belts (prolly scroth) so I can put the non door seatbelt panel in my 91?
(EF noob)

ok anyone got any?

ok more detailed answer
90-91 have door mounted seat belts. 88-89 are piller mounted. Older door panels don't have a hole to accomodate the indoor seatbelt. So you would have to take out your whole seat belt mount to use older model door cards/panels.
You could do what I did and just buy some 88-89 doors or you can remove the seat belt mount from the door itself but that out of my league and I don't know how to do all that.

oh an my rims are MOMO mesh rims.

so they fit though .....i know there is no hole I want to get rid of the door mount seat belt is what im saying

edit: the aftermarket seat belt would mount to the rail and a harness bar or other not decided so I wouldnt need the holy panels
so they would physically mount on the door is what im asking

I wouldn't remove the seatbel to be honest. You might wanna keep it just for "police" reason unless you don't plan on driving this car on the public streets at all.

But to accomplish what I think you are trying to do, I need more detail

Are you trying to get 4 point harnesses and replace you OEM seat belts??

just keep the belts on the door and get the harnesses. Only main issue you will have is if you install a roll bar or cage. the bar that connects near the piller will jam against the door panel due to the extra padding on the door from the seat belt mounts. But you can take a heater to it to reshape it. Or get 88-89 door panels

My first thought when I read these quotes were, "Where the F*ck do you come up with this stuff", followed by "dang, these guys must be cool to kick it drunk.

Wow
