Um no, but ok

Built b16a will make a ton more power than a built d will ever dream of making

QUOTE]

Yeah definatly. I'm going for the 1.8 block because I want some torque. I like the b16, but its missing that little extra displacement. I think d-series are great for turboing, but they have their limits, which are well below b's

if i was boosted it would probably be a quick and easy blockguarded 81x77.4 b16 in a crx. if you already have a b16, for about 8-9 bills you could be kissing 300whp. im just an allmotor junkie who has to be above 2 liters and running 12mm lift cams to think im cool. its a real problem that i might have looked at.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Well yeah, NA needs displacement, honestly if i was going to do it again, lsvtec. You cant beat the fact u can get running ls blocks for as low as 75 bucks. I had a freind blow a turbo b16a da and get a 75 dollar ls with 220 compression (idk how it was that high) Run for almost a year boosted on a shitty basemap and still fast as ****.

Btw block guards are circ. 1999, boosted hybrid makes 700+ on stock sleaves all day long.

b20 = 84 mm ls. So just sleave it or get a ls block. For block guard info see post above.

b20 has weaker sleeves due to their design.

i know mike k made around 200-ish whp with itr cams a long time ago. but i think he had a good bit of headwork done.
i believe 190-200+ whp is possible with the bc3+ and sk2 stage 1's (i think they only require itr valvesprings). just make sure you have good supporting mods.

the reason is the union between cylinder 2 and 3. they share the same outer aluminum sleeve and the steel in the middle actualyl sandwiches together, where as the ls has aluminum separation in bewteen the steel inner sleeves all the way around each cylinder.

this isnt a problem as long as you keep your compression REALISTIC and by realistic i mean below 12:1 on pump. the detonation you would get otherwise, has a tendency to send a crank straight down the sleeve, if not worse.

im about to have a running b16 shortblock for sale here soon.

Lots of guys race HC with B20 blocks, so it can't be too bad. At least most the guys that still use the old B series. They don't run allot of compression though for the rules of the series. With reasonable compression it will work just fine.

id love to go that route, then i decided before i throw that money into a B, im going to hyst wait till i move to florida, homoe of no emissions inspectors, where a RHD EF is compeltely legal then chuck a straight K24 non-vtec element motor in there and swap to the typeS rocker assembly.. thats the beauty of the K. the heads are the same and the vtec and nonvtec rocker assemblies are interchangeable.

z6 huh? Who is a good supplier of those? All i really know about hmotorsonline. What computer will i need the stock one with the motor?
Im buying a rsx or a ep3 soon for a daily so the std will just be a track car. Im going to purchase another b13 se-r to.

There are a couple buddies of mine who have the sr20ve not the de and have it boosted. Its nissan version of vtec but done better. Not boasting just a fact. Back me up on this one chad. The guys i know that have boosted ve are making around 450hp and around 390 on the tq. But im not hating on any brand i love all cars. My dads truck makes over 650 at the wheels ant its doing that conservatively.

VE is more like i-VTEC, it changes the cam timing as well as valve timing and ignition timing.

you are better off looking here on honda-tech for a low miles z6 i think. you can get complete swaps for 500 or so. just need a p28 ecu.
