Thats gayer than aids. Mine fit good, but when I had it, I had a B16. Sounds like Fiber Images is going down the tubes. Sad to hear. My SiR hood has like a 1/16" of a clearence, so you could say it rubs, I mean if you push down on the metal it definitly does. I had a customer come in the other day, and he had some hood on his 2G DSM, it was real nice other than the ugly scoop on it. Quality made me wonder why FI is still in buisness. It was real nice. the edges were rolled, and looked great. If only companies that make [pejorative]got ricer **** like that would build us a simple raised SiR hood, that would clear a K24 with ITBs, or RBC, and look near stockish, and good quality. I am told by my friends at Hasport they have one in the works, but how soon, who knows. They told me this months ago.

A good trick to get a hood to fit nice, is shim up your fenders with #10 washers, sometimes a washer or two evens out gaps.

Yea my FI hood didnt fit the greatest at first, but after about a month it fit great! It was very odd. When i first had the hood the adjustment would change on me, like if i left the car in the sun for a while. I also could smell the resin or whatever like crazy. But after about a month, it fit almost perfect and no more resin smell. My hinges were new too. If anyone's hinges are suspect, change them.

EDIT: I have a harness I can send to you, Chase, if you would like, and it would bring the cost down. I was going to just make my own tuck harness out of it, but I find myself strapped for time lately. i always have a car cover on it when im not driving it. it doesnt get much sun without a lot of wind to cool it down.

you think having bad hinges can mess the hood up?

I dont think having bad hinges could screw up the hood other than its curent fitment. If you get new hinges i would think things would fit better.

With my hood, i was the first one to get the FI SiR one and i think i got it too soon, like before it was fully cured or something. The resin smell and the fitment changes with temperature really tripped me out. It fit perfect in my somewhat cool garage, then id move the car outside under the hot sun and the pass. side corner would raise up about an inch!! Then overnight in the garage it went back down, lol. That all lasted for about a month and then it stopped doing that...thank god, haha, and it ended up fitting pretty good.

the check engine light was from the ECU.
I started the car with the p30 and no check engine light.
My car was idling for about 5-10 minutes then just cuts off.
I start it up again and let it idle for a little more and then the c.e.l. comes on and the engine idle goes up to about to 2k.
I turn off the car to check for the code.
No code at all.
start the car again, starts fine then the C.E.L. comes back. Engine bay is hotter then normal.
I open the passenger side door to make sure no wires are touching.
And when I open the door the light goes away.
I close the door and it comes back.
I opened it again but this time it doesn't go away.
So I turn off the car to check the code and still nothing. This time when I put the key in the on position the c.e.l. stays on.
So I swap ecu and let the car set for about 20 minutes drove it in and out of the garage and it appears everything is fine.

So I guess i need a new p30 for ref next month.

Its not wiring
I just drove the car around the parking lot and let it idle for about 15 minutes agian and no c.e.l.

the p30 has never given my problems before until now. And now i have to do smog or ref before the 16th...

and I don't see the car above really does look silly with those wheels
a bit overkill especially if the wheels are still getting lifted
but if you got first like that then

Looks good and functional . Even if the wheels are getting lifted, the wheels on the ground still have a contact patch advantage

I know. SM isn't the place you'd expect FWD to run well.

I don't care about times when I run. I always get bumped into a higher class where I don't have a chance in hell so I just try and beat myself every run.
