Poly bushings still deflect. The only way to prevent that is to use a traction bar with heim joints.

I'm pretty sure I saw it in the lastest Honda Tuning. If it's not yours, you have been cloned.

to tell you the truth.... it's easier to find JDM front ends than OEM USDM from ends.

at least with NEW parts.... its harder to get the US stuff. </TD></TR></TABLE>

Really? I had no idea. Now the new train of thought? Should I pick up a JDM front to preserve my USDM? Man, I picked up my CRX for mostly sentimental reasons, I should have really taken this more into thought, lol.

Preserve the usdm front? Why? They are all over the place. A jdm front is usually around $1000. You can go to a junkyard and find a usdm hood and bumper for around $100-200 and have it painted for another $150.

I'm not sure why Joe is saying the usdm stuff is harder to find. Maybe he means new. But you really can't get new jdm either. I don't know.

Right. Plus, it sounds like you are trying to keep the car original. The less you do to it, the less that can get goofed up. Technically, isn't the US front JDM anyway? I thought all crx's were made in japan.

i thought i made that clear when i put "NEW" in capitols.

trust me, you arent finding any NEW USDM bumpers anymore. me and los bought the last sets.

rear bumpers too.

i would only put a junkyard bumper on a junkyard car.

on the crx, so much of the bumper is 'trim colored' that the older bumpers look like trash.

he doesnt have any pics, i never heard of backyard making that wing, so either its chargespeed or sumthing else, or a knockoff in general. Was it j's racing that made this wing as well? would there be a logo stamped anywhere?

I've never heard of BYS making one for EFs, but I'm no expert. My J's wing did not have any stamping or marking on it to indicate it was real (though it was). You have to be careful where and from whom you buy that style of wing. They are easy to duplicate.

You know, I'm not even sure anymore. Everyday I look at both cars and haven't work on a whole lot beside pulling the Civic front end apart. I have some parts on order and some I need before I can proceed repairing the civic.

I thought I had it figured out.

CRX - Put the b16 and the full suspension pieces from the civic, plus maybe a ZC hood if I can find one, the fast brakes upgrade, exhaust, 949racing wheels in 15x8, roll bar, fixed back seats and harnesses, maybe a few Mugen pieces cause I always wanted them. Bam, a clean fun CRX that I can take to HPDE's and just have general mayhem/fun with.

Civic - drop the rebuilt D16A into it, clean it up, throw my RB's on there with the bilstein/eibach combo and use it as my daily/errand runner/autox car - as it would be easily classed with nothing crazy or expensive in/on it.

plus if anything happens to the civic, it's not as much a worry, since it's a little banged up anyway.

Just debating pulling the engines and swapping as the crx is more or less all orig (matching#'s etc).
