The Official EF Discussion Thread
IDK what I want to do with the CRX next. She needs a rejuvenation under the hood for sure. I'm near ATL and I swear I've added 3 quarts to it w/in the past week. Granted I've driven 900 miles I guess, but that's still a crapton of oil.
Granted it has a 6mo. oil filter on it, but I kinda gave up on keeping the motor healthy once I saw its consumption getting so bad.
IDK. I'm def not ready to drop a few grand into a b-series swap again. I'm all up for redoing the d series in it and either getting a JRSC going on it at the same time, or rebuilding with plans for it in the future.
Or just sell it in its current state to another EF'er who really really loves the car

the D16 with the JRSC sounds like a good idea. it would suck though when u run neck and neck with a B-Series swap and he makes all his power at 0psi...
The D16-SC is probably the best choice though...

andy, limp it for 60-90 more days and pm me. seriously. you can keep the volks and the yakima of course.
if not, i say rebuild the original A6 for nostalgias sake. that beats putting a tired B16 in it if you ask me.

i say just swap in another d for the meantime until you decide what you reallly want to do.
hey guys, i need to check a leak. is there a screw holding on the rear interior (upper rear, where hanger hook is)?. i checked the honda workshop manual but cant tell. i would rather not snap my interior plastic in half. thanks in advance.

its just metal clips
If you are talking about the up panel surrounding the window
More then likely its the rubber window surrounding. Mine does the same thing.

the hanger hook has a screw in it. if your talking about the window surrounding. you also have to take off the window molding to get it off.

you mean when he makes all his power at 7,000+ RPM and the SC engine starts to pull at 1,500 RPM.
i toasted quite a few B series motors with my old SC single cam.

IDK. I'm def not ready to drop a few grand into a b-series swap again. I'm all up for redoing the d series in it and either getting a JRSC going on it at the same time, or rebuilding with plans for it in the future.

I'd stay d-series for now. It's cheap, and like you said, you can easily s/c it later.
