thanks a ton. i have been looking on autotrader and finding nothing but riced up **** for 10 times KBB value.

edit: that top one is exactly what im looking for. stock with AC. i w ould rather put a b16 in an AC equipped car, than vice versa if you know what i mean.

craigslist is great man. i rarely see worthwhile stuff on autotrader, usually just riced out salvaged crap. or people selling beat CRXs that they think are worth 6K

just a word of seasoned advice, a cheap ls motor with a cable b16 tranny is the bang for the buck hot ticket for an EF. youll spend like 900-1000 bucks and have way more fun than a b16. not tryin to start an argument but with the same tranny, the ls owns the b16.

Oh, damn, I just realized my reply in all its glory never made it through the internet tubes to honda-tech's server.

Anyway, in short, if I don't see a oily belly of the car, then we can deduce that it's probably the valveguides/valveseals being a biatch? Why can't the bastards just stay like they did in the old days and work? Mental note. Don't seafoam a motor with 150k on it. You'll pwn your valvethings.

Yea, I made the same mistake on my jdm b16A back in the day.

Oh and to the guys running the exhaust with a turndown or no muffler at all...I got pulled over today for not having a god damn muffler. Fined $150 for it. I was at a light making a left hand turn and a state trooper pulled next to me at the light just as it was time for me to go. I saw him and took off very gently, but I guess he wanted to be a dick. He even tried to tell me that noisy after market exhausts are illegal as well. I live in SC where tehre are no emissions or Db requirements. From what I have been told the only law is that is must exit out the rear of the car. No side exits or before the rear axle exits. anyone knwo where I can find a list of vehicle modification laws by state? He told me that if I get it fixed by the court date, he will check it out and take care of the ticket. I hope he means do away with it completely. We'll see. I'm gonna go to a muffler shop this week and have them put the most restrictive muffler on my exhaust but make it so I can unbolt it. I'll be damned if I go from 2.5" to a 1.75" exhaust with a stock muffler.

Seafoam is great. I've seen firsthand a lot of good results with it on high mileage motors. If you started burning oil after using it, I'm willing to bet that your problem was there beforehand, and was just being covered up by old oil gunk that the seafoam knocked loose. I recently seafoamed my 4dr that had 175k on it, and it still doesn't burn any oil.

I need to find some cheap wheels for this thing.. I think my meshies are gonna be sold with my 4dr, and I don't really like how they look on this car anyways..

Another first from Innovative was released today.
This kit will allow you to bolt the 92-95 hydro transmission into the 88-91 chassis.
The kits come complete with 3 mounts, custom rear bracket and cable to hydro conversion. They are also available in 65a, 75a, and 85a insert stiffness.

PM me for more details

That would have been on a B series I'm sure. The SOHC D series is brand new. The D series hydro tranny wouldn't physically bolt up to the 88-91 chassis until now. th eB series would. If you had a B series hydro tranny then you just needed to add a cable to hydro conversion kit.
