to get anywhere near the 200whp mark on a 1.6 with it remaining 1.6 (not stroking it) is to move alot of air. you will need fuel to match it too. so you now have a shopping list for parts
cams (real cams, not itr/ctr)
valvetrain that can support the extra stress from higher lift
headwork so the air gets in and out smoothly
intake-be it a good manifold/throttle body combo or itbs
header-dc will not cut it
pistons-need proper dome shape to take advantage of the combustion cycle
and a fuel system that can support it.
so what i am saying is that on a b16 200whp can not be done on the budget i think you are expecting it to be

Hey Mekanism, how much you spending to take that trip to Japan? I have been thinking of going on vacation somewhere but I haven't made up my mind. I haven't left the U.S. since I got out of the Gavy. Debating on where to go. Just curious. I have been all over asia but never to Japan. I got pics of cars that I have seen over there too, if anybody here is interested. Don't want to flood the thread with non ef pics.
Current ticket prices for round trip are $1069 from LAX. I plan on taking $1500 with me for spending so around $2500 to 3k and you should have a good trip. Keep in mind I wont be renting a hotel or car.
For those that dont want to cut the crap out of their t-bar support for the JDM hood you can weld some 1/4" steel plates to the stock hood latch to make it work. This puts the latch and almost a perfect angle so that it wont come unlatched-

Custom radiator brackets, I made them from stainless.
And last but not least-

I removed the wiper motor so now I have to make a plate to cover the hole. For the bolt holes I plan on buying some set screws and then paint over them. I dont want to make it so I can never put the wiper motor back in.

$1500 is enough? Last I checked the Yen is worth more than our dollar. Plus I bet you are going to be buying a gang of stuff. I am guessing you have a friend you are staying with over there? Hmmm. Gets me thinking.
On another note, DAMN!!!! your engine bay is clean.
How often do you drive it?
