i dont think...as much as you know about gold, that you know much about the plating. its micro thin. got to be AT MOST .01mm thick. its not like dipping something in ranch dressing

i had mugen pedals back in 03 i bought directly from king. i could have SWORE the gas pedal came with 2 mounting tabs and 4 countersunk screws for mounting.

i bought a set used recently and the seller who will remain nameless is trying to tell me mugen pedals dont come with mounting tabs for the gas pedal, and you have to drill it directly onto the stock piece.

i got a good enough deal on them it doesnt matter either way but i dont like to be lied to deliberately to cover ***.

reputable companies usually do it in processes
Its not dipped unless its small enough to fit inside the lil cups and ****
Most bare metals are not able to be gold plated right out so it has to be treated, then copper plated so the gold can stick
Then they electircal charge it, then gold plate it with a thin layer of gold.
You can actually buy a gold plating kit and do it yourself.

Thas about all I know about gold plating Auto Parts.
same process they use when they gold plate eblems for Lexus and Honda so so forth.

USDM? It was made by Mugen in Japan. The tip is on other JDM exhausts. It was produced for the us market, but not made in the US. Obviously.

Hey whats this world coming to? Ultra rare exhaust being reduced to 2 letters that really dont mean anything. Unfortunately since nobody could care less they will be missing out on a muffler that sounds and performs just like a JDM tipped one. I'm sure someone will buy it on Ebay for $300 or so. Just thought I'd get the correct info to let people know. Most people will prolly think it is an OBX knock-off.

my mugen pedals have the 2 tabs and the 4 screws that u speak of. and i bought them from mr.mugen on here, when he parted his da teg. with a name like that u betta not sell fake mugen

Personally, I like the US market tip better. That's just me. I was never a big fan of the rings around the JDM tip.
