The current Odyssey in the US will not be going away. This will be in addition too the current line up. I look at as more of filling the void that the Element has never been able to fill. A smaller 5/6 passenger that still offers alot of room. We saw the writing on the wall when Mazda brought over the Mazda5. That lil thing is so JDM it hurts and it has shown success here. </TD></TR></TABLE>

OMG i love the Mazda5
I was actually saving up to get a Fit until I saw the Mazda5. It so much more space then the fit. Only thing that sucks is it has no Mugen support

Not that its "to low" the lips an "underspoiler" like the DC2 bumper it comes all the way back past the radiator support, to the wheel well. So if i was in a bind a strap connected the the hook would be my best friend. Its bolted the the frame and rebar so its not going anywhere.</TD></TR></TABLE>

oh okay i see...it really extends that far huh?...mugen aero
ahh...soft strap would save that nice mugen jdm finish
i'm sure its more than stable/strong enough
seen the directions and mounting location on the original DC5 its made for from the directions/instructions you are talking about...its looks like the ideal mounting point to the chassis/frame and obviously mugen knew what they were doing

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Mugen Dom &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">
The tow hook is for a DC5R dont have any idea what the frame looks like off the top of my head on an EG so i dont know for sure if it would fit the same way, but i imagine with some time u could mount it somewhere. Its mugen of course theres an installation manual, two white photo copied looking pages if directions that tell u nothing as far as anything helpful. Cutting the bumper is the most difficult part getting the right spot that is. Mounting is easy its got a nut plate to mount it to the frame with</TD></TR></TABLE>

think that goes true for just about any modification/custom install...time and patience and creativity

the bumper cutting does look like a pretty hairy procedure trying to line it up perfectly and marking the right location to cut and making it fit around it without contact while also trying not to make the whole too big
yours came out pretty perfect i must admit...nice job
would be a lot easier if there was an outline on the back of the bumper of somesort like honda usually leaves for optional accesories (fogs, pwr door locks etc) and maybe it does on the mugen dc5 bumper? but on a custom application no way would there be

i got lucky with mine and just had it stick out through a vent so no bumper cutting necessary

said instructions:

and brackets and bolts and nuts it came with (all oem new looks like)

Whats even funnier than that was, the wind was blowing a constant 35+mph all day. Now look at the fly again. The fly is facing the wind. He was holding on for dear life.
