Plus that's the the original color it was sold in, so yeah it's been refinished.

a possibility... because i remember the EF CR-X exhaust had a silver and black version for the teardrop muffler for the different models of the CR-X (i.e. if it cam with a twin cam or single cam motor). so this could be the same for the EG application.

but all the teardrop mufflers i've ever seen for the EG chassis has been black.

I forgot to say after reading this whole thread last night, CRXforum, Bryant, Eggman, and ICBMatt, are my Heros. You guys have my consent to marry any of my sisters, once the youngest is old enough.

EG6 for sure, I have the both mugen eg6 catalogs and I confirmed it (matching the hinges and what have you). It would be AWESOME if it is EF8 or EF9 so I can fitted on my mugen EF8. Mugen had 2 catalogs for the EG6, one is the teardrop and one is the one I picked up. There could be a chance it could a del sol which would pissed me off because I have 1 of those already, unless the mugen eg6 catalog is wrong..

That's kind of gross because some of those guys are old enough to be your parents.

This one is supposed to be silver

Wrong, it's for an EG, this is the "rare" EG muffler

Wrong again, it is an EG6 muffler.

Matt you are correct, a very knowledgeable friend of mine gave me the full rundown on this exhaust when I was watching the acution. It is indeed a rare piece and is very respectable even in the repainted condition

there are 3 versions of the eg civic mugen tear drop mufflers. two in silver and 1 in black. damn dont you guys know your mugen teardrops??? posers

the one matt shows is the eg hatch version with twin outlets and came in a gloss silver note the mugen insignia on far right.

other other one in black is the eg civic hatch sport version, hence 1 big 3.5" chrome tip out of the passenger side (drivers side jdm) and came in gloss black. mugen insignia on far left

and the last version is for the eg civic coupe/4 door similar to the matt's but has a curved piping prior to the tip exit (curve was before tip) and was used for the 2 door coupes and 4 door 92-95 civics.

so what does that one look like installed? Because there isn't an exhaust cut out on the left side of the bumper. I only questioned the exhaust because I didn't know any better as you "Gods" haven't educated us common folk yet about them

the tear drops are all interchangible... trust me when i say its for the eg civic. i dont want to post photos too lazy.

like i said they are interchangible so can you use it on a del sol.. yea, you can. but if i get enough peeps ill scan and host the photos...

and i guess i can host the photos of how they rust from the inside out aswell. but only if i know it will be worth it to the peeps here? yes? no? gtfo?
