I got a reckless driving citation tonight....

bs call, the cop said I was racing a street bike. Long story short, I wasnt. The bike slowed down and started doing all these tricks then sped off.

Cop also said I was going 75 in a 45 which isnt true. On the citation it says Speed: A75, does that mean estimated speed?

Quote from the cop. "I couldn't keep up with the bike so I pulled you over" The guy wasnt even in a cop car, the cop followed me all the way home which was about a 7 minute drive from where this **** took place. He called me out right in front of my house.

Reckless Driving Citation, court July 7th. Hope I can fight this and win, I didn't race this guy.

Morasso: Sounds like the cop was off duty. I don't think he can write you up while he's off duty. I could be wrong though. I'm sure you can beat that case. Police can't follow you more than a certain given distance before it's illegal for them to be behind you. Sounds fishy to me. Especially if he followed you home to give you the ticket...

Not in TN. They can follow you if they want. A bike playing around with a modified car is more than a reason to persue the car as well. It is bullshit that he gave you a ticket, though.

I don't bitch about police, they keep my town safe, and I would actually prefer having too much of a presence, than none at all.

I think he can still give me a ticket, but the fact that he followed me ALL the way home in some random buick that isnt even remotely a cop car is real sketch.

And the fact he said "I couldn't keep up with the bike so I got you" is even worse, when I wasn't even doing anything.

The bike pulls up next to me, and starts doing handstands and crap and flys off, and I get cited with reckless driving, which is 5 points on my license. More than a ******* DUI.

I really hope I can fight this and win and I wasn't going 75 as posted on the ticket.

call the police station RIGHT AWAY and tell them youd like to see the dashboard camera of said acts. i think they have to keep the "tapes" until the court date. if they say the have no video, then there is your "in"

Yeah Bermuda was cool except for all the jacked up prices for Tourists.
I went to one place that charged me 11 bucks for a 23oz beer. I nicely gave it back to them. Royal Carribean is a good cruise line to go on.

never heard of that working. Usually if the cop shows up and you want to fit, you're pretty screwed unless you get a lawyer. But if the cop doesnt show up, you're free.

But if you get reamed in the ***, at least it'll give you some more time to re-paint your car with the roller method again..
