yea on that run i ran 14.4 on the engine that had less that 2k on it. as it is now it has 6k on it. the car traps 100 consistently so its good for mid to high 13's on stock internals.

i also dont think those time suck *** for my first time back at the track in 3 years either. if you my time suck then you dont know about the 250+ whp that civic has.....

the engine is just a stock block ls/vtec with gsr cams, untuned.

i was also pulling 2.4 60's that night, ive been able to get them down to 2.1 but havent been able to get a good run in. last time i went 6 cars blew antifreeze on the track and i couldnt get traction worth crap after 1st. im hoping my next time out to get 13.XX

While I understand your motor build is nothing crazy, I Don't understand why people put motors together and don't tune them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is such a waste of power, reliability, etc and not to mention a good way of blowing up a brand new motor!

well yea, i mean ive got it on good basemap its a basic set-up so the map works good, but soon it will be tuned. im not gonna spend all the time on the tune, im going to get that done when the rest of the head componets get installed and get my header. plus i keep my eye on my spark plugs they are being pretty decent so far, once i notice the plugs start to foul different ill address it...haha.

 

were you on slicks or street tires? and what tranny are you running

i was on street tires, the best 60 i got that night was 2.4....sucks i know was having trouble getting used to launching the engine and the track. i went back out 2 weeks later and got consistant 2.1 60's but the track was in shitty shape. 6 cars blew antifreeze on the track so getting a 1/4 of the way down the track traction became a huge issue, traps dropped to 96-97mph.

my tranny is a non-lsd y1 in fair condition. old b-vtec cable trannies are hard to come by in good shape...lol.

as the car sits today with the 100mph traps its getting its good for the 13 mid to high, i just need to get the car and me right first. ill report back on the 25th of this month because ill be out at my track trying to better my times.

 

that sounds pretty good for stock lsvtec man. i cant wait to finish my motor and get out to the track
