I was in ATL a few years back, BuckHead was cool. Of course we went to Mako's.

 

I'm staying in buckhead, at some hotel called the W.... Suppose to be one of the nicest hotels in the area

 

so i checked my clutch cable and its still intact but my clutch fork i guess its called moves and idk what that means? any help would be great.

 

i got my first da in 04' when i got out of highschool and i remember there wasnt nearly as much for DA then there was for every other chassis out there. yeah it was popular when it was 5 years old but when it was 10 yrs old there was less out there. i remember i wanted a rear sway bar and there was only one company out there that made one. now there are multiple choices. i also remember there was a shock company that made fronts but not rears. over the last few years it has gotten better again but still we are lower on the scale in the aftermarket world then the other chassis.

you cant deny that when you go to a meet like IA that it is over run with eg, ek, and dc's. when we were at that meet there was only ten of us, and a couple were ricers or had monster truck status on their car. just call it like i see it!

From a performance aspect almost anything made 10yrs ago is crap compared to what's available now. The only parts I can think of which are better than stuff available now are the Vision front upper control arms a couple of strut tower bars and maybe the Hiro wing. Everything else can get OG respect, and if you're building an era-correct car then you gotta go that route. But look at any track car that actually gets used and you're not going to see any of that old stuff on there. Think 50-60mm exhausts, tiny collector headers, front bias lowering springs on non adjustable shocks... And look at the old wheels for the EF/DA generation. Everything back then was 6" or 6.5" wide - that's all useless by today's standards.

Don't get me wrong, I like the old stuff too. Just like you gotta love vintage cars. But that stuff doesn't hold a candle to the performance stuff that's available now.

 

Thermal was making 3" exhausts 13+ years ago, hytech has been making header(s) for 20+ years, Volk has been making forged wheels for 20+ years. Chipped OBD0 ecu by companies like Mines, Feels, Vision, Spoon, Mugen. Yeah its not Hondata, but its quality and has lasted the test of time. I get stuff has gotten better, but being naive about older quality brands doesn't mean they didn't exist.

I wouldn't call it crap and not sure what you're YIKESing about.

alls i was originally saying was that compared to all of the other chassis's except ef, there is a waaaaay bigger selection of aftermarket parts. i never said there was no market for the da just that we have been limited for a while until the past few years it has opened up even more to us.

After I bought wheels, got them painted, and lowered it. The paint is poo:



The stuff sticking out of the door is plastic, the cowl is leaking, so I'm getting the puddles on the floorboard.

Post more pics. I would like to see the whole car with the circuit 10s. So far i like it. I always wanted to see pics of how they look with the 90-91 front. Also, Rota Grids would be nice. EFcivicJDM has the Rota Grid Offroad. Looks really good too.!

 

And to JDM'dout, I'll see if I have more pictures saved on this computer for ya. And yea the grids would be nice, but I want to get Work Equip 03's later on.
