i think the car would be extremely clean n subtle, but still stand out with the suspension setup and 5 lug swap and 1 piece lights. but again, this is MY opinion and obviously in the end, its your car.
It's an RS with a B18A1. Sorry, I should have clarified.
I want to swap the motor for a number of reasons, the main one being performance (I am NOT going LS turbo, just not gonna happen) and also so I can (at least in theory) get a lower mileage engine. I miss my B16A2 and it's endless RPMs my last car was an EM1 lol. I also prefer the hydro tranny feel, that's just me.

As for changing the color... I'm sorry but I am not a huge fan of saxony. It looks a little effeminate to me. Red would be cool, but I would also welcome a silver, white, black, or a darker blue/violet. The paint would be nice to do at some point. There are some rock chips and nicks here and there, I mean its 20 years old. Maybe I'll learn to like it and go for a respray one day. The paint won't even be touched for quite some time anyway. got PLENTY of time to think about that lol

I guess my definition of "subtle" differs slightly from everyone else's. All I meant was that I wasnt gonna install any body kits or weird aftermarket lights (aka rice).

Oh and the seats just suck, any DA owner can relate to that haha.

Yea, it may be a GSR but it's still a 20 year old Honda.

Going through this with my Buddy NCSI, he's contemplating selling his car, I keep trying to tell him it's not worth it. But oh well.

lol thanks. don't worry, I won't butcher it, and I will keep all the stock parts just in case. As for the seats, I feel too tall for them. I read some other threads complaining about DA seats, but I guess not everyone hates them.

ahh ok. my bad. for some reason i was thinking you had a gsr. thats the only reason i was really against changing all of that. was just looking at the "keep it original" stand point since gsr's are really getting hard to come by now.

i'd have to disagree on the seats as well. it's been a while since i've been in cloth da seats, but i have some leathers and i love how they feel. i have a set of mint cloth seats that i'm prob going to put back in though since my leathers are really beat up

Looks nice! I wish he would have posted better pics of the car. I get skeptical when someone doesn't post pics of the entire car

Last page someone said DA seats suck...

The hell u talking about? lol. For a early 90's Honda they are nice. I'm loving my leather seats in my DB1 right now. Cold in the morning but I love them still.

It's snowing again and looks like this time it'll pile up more. Got some JDM 1 pieces for my DB1 so it's staying in the garage for the next week for install and a snow break. I'll post pics up of my newest DA soon guys.

Anyone here selling anything stock? Still looking for a 90-91 steering wheel with cruise and DB1 tails. Needs to be mint. Please hit me up if you have one!

yes, but for an actual seat that you have to sit in every day, they don't work for me nearly as well as the seats in my EM1, and by that I mean they are less comfortable and don't hold me in place when you go around a sharp corner. But ya'll keep talking about leather, and I have cloth. Maybe the leathers are really that much better? the fabric is quite itchy IMHO which doesn't help. Also, I'm 6'3", my shoulders are literally headrest-level.
Well it's fine, I'm glad you guys like your seats, they just obviously weren't designed with my lanky *** in mind lol. I can't find the DA seat rant threads right now... oh well. Sorry I said anything

Seems like everybody has their own opinions on the seats lol. They're good for the era, but if I were between a Recaro SPG or a pair of BNIB GSR cloths, I would go for the Recaro. It's just something about about OEM seats that I dislike. Everybody is different.

Thanks man, that's quite the statement! I appreciate it though. I could list a bunch of cleaner DA's off the top of my head. But we should take into account that they're aren't a great number of clean DA's in WA. You'll see when you show up at a meet...

lol exactly. The reason I said for the era they are nice is because it's true. Compare them to a more modern seat (factory or aftermarket) they fail by alot.

Any seat with memory foam is just pure amazing.

Oh and I'm 6'2" and 200lbs so I fill out my DA seats better then most of you I'm sure

Going to get my cowl sealed up, new wiper arm links in and antenna mast should be here soon. Then I'll be watching the weather till I decide to start driving it again. Having a broken power antenna never bothered me much in my DA9, but in my DB1 it's driving me crazy! Maybe another sign I'm getting old...

I was at the spring H-T meet where the people got in the fight over that CRX haha. Yeah I don't remember the DA's much. I guess I didn't start looking at DA's much til I started owning one. but when I imagine how I want my car to be, yours is pretty close to that. I like how you left the trim black, I personally love the black trim because at least it guards the pain from door nicks from careless dodge neon owners Hope to see some fresh DA's at the next meet though

I agree. I owned a 1992 Lexus SC400 and honestly that car could corner way too quickly for its own seats. fling it into a bend and you fall right out lol. On long trips they were comfortable though

i have a love/hate relationship with my seats. i still have the seats from the first da i ever owned. so they are sentimental in that respect. i love they way they feel for normal driving and i am 6'1". the hate tho is when i have a helmet on my head hits the top of the door in turns and when i was hard in a turn i was either sitting on my door handle or on my armrest. ive never sat in a leather front seat before so i have no comparision to that. but untill my seat rips in the usual spot, ill prolly keep them. i have a bride seat but no rail for it yet. the seat is stored away in my buddys closet for the next 10 years prolly. oh and as for stock em1 seats, they blow ***. you are set so high up and feel rediculous. id rather the stock da seats in an em1. and for an si those seats were dumb. they could have put some recaros in there to make the interior a little different from the regular em1

I love the seats however I constantly find my self having to adjust and push myself back up in the seat, if that makes any sense.

I know what you mean, I get in my teg kinda funny, I sit on the middle and slide down into the seat, people see that and there like, wtf? lol that's why I want to get some fresh recaro's, but I don't know if they are wide enough for my big ***. I like the ones in the JDM type r(dc5 ones) I sat in some in absolute pro-formances crx, so I think I can fit, what do you guys think( I am also 6'2", but I weigh 250,lol)

And when I get these seats, they have to be reclining, I don't think I could deal with the non-adjustable ones( I heard they are narrow as shyt too).I really want some red recaro's with the black stitching, the black w/red stitching and if I could find some real ones and come up with the money, I want some bride gias......

And on another note, I lost my f*&^ing keypad for the alarm on my teg, I flipped this house, all my cars and anywhere it could be over, how in the hell am I going to start my car now? I stopped by best buy this morning and they told me there is a button that should be under the the dash that I have to push while I turn the ignition, this sucks, but I think it is time for a new alarm, this one has been on the car since I have owned it, about 12 years.........

they do sit high, thats why I'm thinking about getting the low sitting aftermarket seats, I will probably just store my stock seats, because I don't want to split up my original gs-r to bad, lol like I haven't already...........
