DA Integra's Only
I don't mind if i have to wait and save a little extra for a better wheel. I bough one set of rotas new about 7 to 8 years ago and the finish started peeling off within 4 months or owning them and the car wasn't even daily driven lol. And for that reason alone i will never buy a set of knockoff wheels again. One and done for me
i have mugen m7's....these drags are for daily driving... m7's are for shows and stuff if i ever get my freaken car done... i dont see anything wrong with rockin some fake wheels and if they get effed up then oh well i wont be so upset...but my mugen wheels i would prolly cry....so they will stay in the dark until im ready to put them on along with my koni yellow/gc's

like my rental helmet. shes prolly crushed into a little cube by now.

LoL, I've had tons of Honda-Tech friendly wheels and Rotas too and always thought the same.
LoL but why?
I can see people like Herb who have had a legit problem. I think I've had 3 sets of Rotas and have 0 issues at all.

il have pics next week just getting it ready for paint atm

It's not perfect, IMO it's a little too shiny, but it's the closest I've found in awhile. I also use this to paint my windshield wiper arms. If I were you I'd definitely stay away from a full gloss or flat paint in favor of something "satin" "semi-gloss" or "semi-flat".
Also, two tips:
1) Remove the pieces, don't mask them. They're super easy to remove. Let me know if you want me to explain the process.
2) You should sand them a little to promote adhesion, maybe even use primer. For whatever reason I've had bad luck w/ paint on these pieces, it never likes to stick very well. Of course they're so easy to pull off and repaint it almost doesn't matter. But I say pull them off, paint 'em and make sure you let the paint dry COMPLETELY before reinstalling. That means 24hrs plus. I usually get impatient and **** up the paint by reinstalling too soon.
Colin,i used that stuff for my panels and it worked great, but using it on smooth pieces,it would rub off after time. I used the plasti dip on mine and it looks nice and is strong as hell.
Do they make a really thin plasti-dip now? Last time I used it it was really thick and something like that wouldn't allow for reinstallation of the trim piece. Plus how would it rub off? It's not a wear part really, nothing touches that piece except your wash mitt when you wash the car. The reason the paint wears off originally is sun fading. Do you have any pics of yours that have plasti-dip on 'em? Seems like it would also look strange, they are supposed to look painted, not rubber coated (but I'm insanely **** about stuff like that and anything that doesn't look OEM gets a thumbs down in my book).

I don't have pics at this time, but will post some ASAP. Why i said it would rub off is because i painted my door lock black to match the other (BECAUSE IT WAS TAN) and after about 2 days it all rubbed off like a thin plastic scab..lol It looks great on the dash and parts with that bumpy feel to it,but not on smooth parts, but that's just my .02
The plasti dip spray is a flat like look, but you can use clear on it or just do what i do,BLACK MAGIC TIRE SHINE..lol
Here,we wore talking about doing a car in plasti dip on another forum, and this guy did it to his. You can see how well it looks, and doing it on trimming would look just like this.http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/hang...ed-my-car.html
i dont hate all rotas i just dont like my wheels that i have on the car now. thats all. i just would never buy these wheels willingly. like i said , i have a pair of regas that i have to find another pair to match and i will rock those but untill then i will just beat on these for awhile cause i could care less what happens to them.
Wow, I hadn't seen that spray plasti-dip before, seems neat. I'd only used the stuff that you literally dip your parts into... Looks like a good product although I personally wouldn't use it on the part we're talking about, for me it's entirely the wrong color (going off of those pics of the Talon). You definitely shouldn't have used this trim paint to paint door handles, those need to be professionally painted (or at least the same process) as they are a high wear area. It could be done w/ a rattle can but you'd be doing a lot of prep work, then priming, multiple layers, clear coat...etc.
Is it me,or is the drivers wheel sitting farther back then normal on that white DA??
Looks like its been bapped hard in the front as well? Other then that, look like a clean car, just needs some TLC and you're set.

This car has been beat, my sister has owned it for about 6 years. Was and is her first car so she says she doesn't plan on getting rid of it even though she has the element now.
