Took my turbo mani off yesterday. Its a spoolin performance cast log manifold. So I cleaned all residue off with this all purpose cleaner. Then scotch brighted it. Now just layed a layer of white high temp primer. Getting ready to spray the black coat on. Pics later hopefully it hold together ha!

You will HAVE to use a half sized rad, think we've discussed this before.

There are a couple mani's that work with full size. A kid with a b16 boosted is running one around here.

You definitely don't HAVE to run a half size. There's lots of manifolds that clear, I just wanted to know if the spoolin log was one of them.

Post how that holds up, I want to paint my tubular but I don't want to spend the money to send it off the island to ceramic coat it.

Might still have some of my hot parts coated because then I know they'll look good for years to come (I've got no real drive to change my new set up as I want to push it as far as I can).

the traction bars will help, but I dont know by how much? Might want to raise the car up a bit IMO.

There are manifold's that work with full sized rads, in other cars, none that I know of in DA's, like I said we had this talk recently.......

If there's lots of em for our cars, please post them up!

i test fitted my spooling performance manifold on my Da tonight and it cleared the rad just fine, but the cold side was hitting the fans, so you will have to run slim fans and flip them for more clearance.

Flipping the fans is not a problem. Mine are already flipped.

Just incased my turbo in foam and bubble tape and sent it out. This guy is a stand up guy and will warranty anything wrong with the turbo. He said unless it appears it was oil starved which isn't the case due to the loads of oil blowing out of my exhaust!

Can't wait to get it back and have it NOT smoke its butt off!

its very possible we did discuss it but where the problem that i would have with the header is where the half rad would sit which is why i didnt think a half rad would work i would have to sit it in a awkward position for the half rad to work im thinking of just using a stock teg rad and slim fan setup

If your stock crossmember is that damaged due to your ride height then you will DESTROY a Full Race crossmember. I would say it would be a very unwise move and extremely dangerous as the failure of an aftermarket crossmember will be drastic and possibly catastrophic compared to putting a stock crossmember thru the same beating. You have 3 options for your current problem:

1) Raise the car up. (The intelligent option)
2) Have a custom traction bar designed which solves your problems. (The ideal, extremely expensive option which may not be 100% possible)
3) Keep it low and beat your car to shreds. (The not-so-intelligent option)

Eli, I'm guessing you don't have a Full Race traction bar and have never seen one on a DA. There isn't ground clearance or weight benefits to this traction bar, for the most part it's worse than stock in both those categories.
