usually thats the one thing girls dont want to do, my gf hates my car, she said she doesnt like it because i spent too much time and money on it, then i asked her "what if i had bought it like this" and she said "then it would be nice."

Suren, yeah, that's the reason.

The corner windshield moldings come out sorta strange. You gotta pull the top piece straight out from the center line of the car. The metal piece will slip off of the rubber/plastic it's wrapped around. Wiggle it a little to get the rubber/clip from the underside of the molding to loose where it snaps under the windshield. Then slide the whole metal piece upwards and off of the rubber/plastic which that end is wrapped around.

The the rain rails come out pretty easily too. Push them forward, they should slide about a half inch. Then start at the front and try to put your fingers under the inner edge of the molding. Rock it back and forth (towards and away from you while you're standing at the side of the car) as you pull upward. The clips should come out w/o breaking. I ended up breaking one clip - the first one, then after that I figured out how to do the "rocking" to get 'em to come out.

I wouldn't recommend iSport, which is the company I got my roofcap from, and unfortunately the only company I know of currently making them. The quality of mine is horrible. But hey, it helped me lose the worst possible 35lbs on the car.
Thanks for the heads up.

Sucks to hear about the quality issue. That's who I was going to buy from, there was a lot of response on G2IC about those.

the guy who makes the isport products is a good guy though, my visors turned out fine, if you would have told him the quality of your roof cap wasnt good he probably would have told you to return it and made you a new one

My girlfriend doesn't like riding in mine at all. Vibration from the race mounts, screaming/droning exhaust, and the fact that it knocks your teeth out if you hit a pothole wrong seems to rub her the wrong way. She doesn't seem to mind how much I like it though and doesn't really give me much grief about working on it and driving 4 hours to meets. At least, she doesn't anymore.

on another note, anyone ever deleted the PS and tryed the loop lined method with a T in the line and used a breathable like clutch resovior..? for a DA

thats kinda the method showed in honda tuning i believe...
http://www.hondatuningmagazine.com/t...car/index.html

you dont really need the resevoir just loop it at the vss and at the rack and try and put some fluid in it before you finish

yeah i know how to just loop the line, but after reading that article and the reasoning behind it, you fight the power steering fluid when turning, using the resevoir apparently let the fluid flow to there so your not fighting it, its supposed to feel just like having power steering i guess. wanted some first hand advice from someone who has used the T method and reservoir

my friend had the resevoir method in his hatch..we used the link i posted above as our instructions..it feels like u have power steering but with out the assist..ie with power steering you use one finger to make a turn, with no power steering or the loop method use 2 hands and you can "feel" it as in it feels choppy, with the resevoir method its more like 1 hand to make a turn and its smooth much like a manual rack...i hope this helps ...

The one that he made for Erwin's (PlatinumG2) car is better quality I think. If you could get him to get it from the iSport guy, then maybe it'd be OK. But mine's horrible, there's even a hair in the clearcoat! I made a comment regarding quality in a post of his and he started to chew me out about how good his **** is and how if it was bad quality why hadn't I complained initially. Well, I wasn't about to pay a fortune to ship it back and only get a small chunk of my money back and still have paid over $100 in shipping costs... Plus, it's a track car, aesthetics come second. As far as I see it, the guy's quality sucks, and he's got a bad attitude. If JDP was making one I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him though.

i did it to my da last summer. spent a good bit of time to keep it neat and a tight fit on the loops. i want to re-do my one line though as it was the last one and i was tired of doing it. i know it can do better with it.

i'll try to remember to grab some pics of it tomorrow. for some reason i dont have any yet

I just pulled the lines and let it breathe open air. Some guys that I know at a local shop said that's what they do with all their race cars. The fluid that circulates is separate from the fluid that lubricates the rack.
