Same here man...I have had blown shocks for years...just never have the money to replace em...kinda pointless for me to get any nice pair because it is my DD currently but o well...the bounce sucks SOOOO bad

Personally, I think "doing it right the first time" is AVOIDING Taiwanese made coilovers like F2/D2/K-Sport/PIC/Omni/Skunk2/BLOX and going with some Koni shocks with Ground control tophats.

When it comes to suspension, you get what you pay for. I wouln't pay ~$650 for a coilover that's not adjustable.

Knowledge has probably seen more road course time then me and knows a bit more about suspension but I am happy with my Omni Full drag coils. Sever the purpose I bought them for, sure on the street they are rough but its give and take.......
Just my .02

Edit**
Missed the main point here, yea why spend all the money on non-adjustable suspension.

Buddy just got the top of the line Tein suspension for his Civic with the electronic controller. Rides great!

Could not agree more...if you are going to spend a decent chunk of change, you better make sure your suspension set up can be adjusted

i think everyone has their different experiences, my friend started with GC/Koni with Extended top hats, was kind of disappointed with it, got Tien Monoflex, got rid of that, got D2, got rid of that and now has function form type II's, out of all of the suspension's he's tried he likes those best, so i would trust his view after riding on all 4 types of suspension than to just not buy something because its made in taiwan. I've ridden in cars with K-Sport suspension as well, and i didnt see anything wrong with it, rode and handled good

This is coming strictly from a street perspective. Street driving and uneven roads are a lot of work for suspension that lacks full travel, even worse if it has a high spring rate. Daily driving a car with modified suspension forces you to choose wisely.

Matt, since your car is not a daily driver and intended for drag racing, you just need something stiff. Your Omnis are just fine for that.

What was your friend doing with his suspension, though? Subjective ride quality on the streets doesn't say much about a certain setup, especially if he isn't paying attention to spring rates and his damper settings.

Made in Taiwan matters so much because of:

1. Standards of quality control (rate of defective products)

2. Rebuilding. If you blow one of these coilovers and it's not covered under warranty, what do you do? With Koni shocks, you have plenty of options as far as getting the shock rebuilt with little downtime, as well as the ability to replace individual shocks by purchasing them almost anywhere.

Street driving on modified suspension leaves you with the constant risk of blowing shocks. With that in mind, it's best to go with a proven, quality product than go with one with an attractive price tag.

That's not to say that I don't think you should buy F2 coilovers, I'm just saying that you should consider what you need in a suspension and then learn about what you're buying.

Axle?
Motor Mount blown?

Kind of a vague question so I can only throw out random answers at this point.

Well there you go, what do you mess with that makes it go away for a bit?
Trying making a list then only do one of those at a time til you find the resolution.

But how do you know they are good and mint? Could be bad?
Could be suspension?

It's nice for what it is, has a big core, nice couplers and T bolt clamps. Will prolly need to cut and get some pipe beaded but oh well.

Need:

BOV
1/2 core Rad
Hondata MAC electronic Boost Controller
Get my Turbo Balanced
Exhaust
Fit Downpipe
Turbo supply and drain line kit
Hondata 3 bar MAP(I'm torn whether to buy it or not, I've heard mixed reviews if it is really needed.)

Then just other small things like to get my weld fitting welded on my new VC and get my catch can hooked up and *****.!
doesnt look too bad. and list is slowly getting smaller. as for the map sensor, you WILL need a 3 bar of some sort. doesnt have to be hondata, but 3 bar none the less. john can only make power up to about 10-12 pounds on a stock map. my friend got his car tuned up there and his 3 bar was bad so had to use stock for time being and thats where he got maxed at

take a good look at every single bushing, tie rod end, ball joint, and tighten every bolt or nut and go from there
