DA Integra's Only
time for me to get a stock intake box woohoo
92-93.
what do you guys suggest i do. i have a generic CAI and i donthave a stock one (CAI came with the car) and i have smog in july. but im more concerned about hydrolocking because i think that is how i bent a piston last time i was driving when the rod bent i believe it happened because of a puddle...=[
should i turn it into a short ram or what?

I think CAI's are junk but since you got it for free essentially it's ok.
I would just rock out a short ram, we have talked about this several times here in this forum and if you SEARCH you will find a million threads about it as well.
If I had to buy a new intake I would go on Ebay and buy:
2.5 - 3 diameter piece of intercooler piping
Blox Velocity stack kit
Thanks! I've still got them, one of them has bent lip and won't hold air though. So they're just hanging out in my room till this semester is over and I can afford to get them refinished
Till then, it's rolling on Fat Fives

anyone here rock a velocity stack? ive been thinking about getting one. yeah i think i might get a short ram for the winter season and put the CAI during summer
well last time it was all stromy and whatnot it didn't fully lock but it bent a piston but im guessing that could've also been due because i also had a leaky gasket? should i not trip about having a CAI?
(paranoid cause my motor died last time it was all hella rainy)

Yessir, got the whole kit actually, only felt like running the front though. That OEM piece can take quite the beating I tell ya. I had some bad close calls where I thought it was done for, but nope. Glad I never put on my fiberglass replica, like I was going to in the first place. I don't think it would have lasted a week
They are proven to make gains on all setups, esp FI setups!

Don't even waste your time switching them just use the short ram.
LoL your in CALI! What is winter like 60 degrees?
I doubt that was the reason you "bent a piston". Beating up a motor with a leaky HG would do it! Def not using a CAI........
