DA Integra's Only
once i start getting checks coming in from my new job and get some bills paid off, i want to pick up two of them. one for my da and one for my hatch
There are so many ways to hide the clutch cable.
You must be on PCP.
The long geared YS1 is the longest B-series transmission you can get and the GS-R/RSi/XSi YS1 is near identical to a 96 spec ITR transmission. It's a night and day difference.
The day I got my car back with the XSi swap (w/ short geared YS1), I was in 5th gear cruising on the freeway and kept wanting to shift into what I thought should be 4th gear. 5th gear in a short YS1 feels like 3rd gear in a long YS1.
Oh, it's a big difference.
I wouldn't recommend getting a pre-YS1 B16A transmission. There is absolutely NO WAY to get new replacement parts for them. With a YS1 case (short or long), you can use gearsets from any other B-series transmission and find all of the replacement parts (gears, synchros, countershaft).

The wiper cowl is the long black panel under the wiper arms. Pop out the black circles and unscrew the white clips. You may also have to pull out the plastic pins under the rubber seal on the firewall side of the cowl. The panel is cumbersome. Use caution not to break the ends near the hood hinges. After you remove the cover there is another black cowl on the passenger side. This cowl covers the passenger cabin air intake. The leak is coming from the black plastic push screws that hold that cover on. When you remove the cover you can see the seals in the holes that the push screws were in. The rubber seal dry-rots over time and the sides split open. Water leaks in one drop at a time and adds up quickly. Once you have replaced the seals you should be leak free for another 9-10 years.
but the price is more like $4.50 each now
hey do you guys know if a b16 oil pan will fit on my ls? i broke my oil pan yesterday

i've had a 91 CRX, 90 hatch, and a DA with 4 different hydro setups in those three cars. Every one of them made me wish i still had a cable trans. Unfortunately the hydro trans that worked the best was a X2M5. They don't make cable K-Series transmissions
But I got mine on the cheaps, check out:

$1.76 each!
Read the write up here on HT or on G2ic. It isn't a hard job to do but it isn't fun and you may break something if you are careless!
