250hp is easy to hit on a stock LS like Andy said. I would just advise you new guys to read up, do you homework and educate yourselves on what your getting into. It will be easier once you know how things work and what MAY work best.

EXACTLY!!! read read read. do tons of research since you're new to boost. that will be your best friends. period. then, do quality work and most importantly, GET A GOOD TUNE!!!!! i can not stress that point enough. here is the link to the boosted ls thread....seriously spend a LOT of time reading in there, you will learn a lot from it.

https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...23059&page=879

i linked you to the last page since its soo many pages. i'd highly suggest you jump back 50-100 pages and then read forward

seriously though, with anything, all motor, boost, anything that you do to a motor, tuning is most important if you want your build to last. Alot of people will "flame" you if you just come on and ask "what should i do with my motor" or anything along those lines, luckily us DA people are cooler than that hahaha

yeah, tuning is key no matter how you build it. once i get my gsr back together in a few weeks here, i'll need a tune as well. 11.6:1 compression should be fun, dont you think???

also, that is why i said make sure you read read read and do tons of researching. if you start asking questions like that without searching or having a general idea of what you want to do, you will get flamed. end of story. as long as you have a general knowledge first, and an idea of what you want to do before you ask questions, you should be ok and not get flamed. gotta love h-t lol

Yup tuning is THE key, I get pissed when people are like "but I don't want to spend all that money on a tune, my friend.........." It's like running a pc without a cpu fan, sure it may run good for a bit but SOONER then later it's bound to blow up............ and blow up in a big way

What other mods for that Andy? I miss my 13:1

dont waste your money on another ls motor, just get a b20 motor, slap a b16 cable tranny on it and you'll enjoy it if you're not looking for too much power

b20 i/h/e b16 tranny with a good clutch, fun all day. If you get bored with it go b20/vtec. If you want to stick with an ls motor, you can do the same thing. I have to admit, the LS tranny is what holds it back.

yeah i've been reading a lot as for a turbo i would probably give myself a long *** time of research before i start investing any money cause right now i don't have a job so there is no way it'll be happening so all i can do is read up on it and whatnot. my friend gets mad at me because she says all i do is sit on the computer and look at car parts i try to tell her its research but she doesn't understand

damn, you were 13:1?! on pump?? but as for other mods...basically nothing right now til i get more money. but acl bearings, all new gaskets top to bottom. maybe arp rod bolts, not sure yet on those. i'd like to get an intake manifold for it too, but i need money then, eventually, i'll either buy a built head or build a head for it, but thats long term

seriously, keep your b18a1 if its in good condition. get a cable gsr tranny if you can find one (getting scarce these days), a stage 1 clutch set and 12lb flywheel and then either some cams and an intake manifold, or do an ls/vtec conversion. also, upgrading your mounts will make a big difference in how the car feels and gets power to the ground. by now, most of the da mounts are quite worn out. at the very least, do the window weld fill trick on them
