well the one time i took my oem lip off to paint it, it had 11 bolts holding it on. Does your new lip have bolt holes?

^There's plenty of resorts around man, just have to drive alittle. 2/3 hour drive and you're at Big Bear/Summit Point.

I got back from Big Bear last night, went snowboarding from open until they told us to get the heck out. Now I can't move a muscle in my body. lol

I'm starting to get the hang of the jumps alittle, I think a couple more days and I'll be getting some nice air.

like if i hadn't gotten a motor swap and my old motor was still running i was really close to trying to get a trade for a 240 only problem would be i would like to put a sr20det into it haha but than what would the difference between that in boosting my car... RWD

what do you guys think would it be worth it to invest my money into boosting cause i mean i have like 50K miles on my motor now lol. definately wont be selling my baby

would like to boost in the future on stock internals looking at running no more then 9 psi how much power could that push with a good tune? was looking at the lsT thread on here one of the first guys is pushing a b18a1 with stock internals at 246 horses. i don't wanna push it was looking at just hitting like 200HP

Honestly, investing $5 in our cars isn't "worth it" financially, its only really whatever its worth to you, what you take away from it.

Boosting on stock internals is a nightmare waiting to happen in my opinion. With any power adder your only going to get bored of that power level in a short time and want more. Like most people you will want to crank up the boost then BOOM! Bye Bye motor. It's only natural and has happened to the best of us. I would say invest your money in building the motor a bit, just pistons and rods with some bearings, rod bolts and head studs. Then save your money and buy some quality turbo parts, esp a GOOD MANIFOLD.

No sense in doing everything twice right?

if you also read more in that thread, you will see that the 250 range is cake walk. 9 psi will get you close to that. most guys will tell you about 15 pounds on a common size turbo (like a 50 or 57 trim). some guys have taken it further and made 400 on a stock internals, all though that is not recommended. honestly, i would have to disagree with matt slightly on boosting a stock internal ls. i'm all about boosting stock ls motors as long as they're healthy. when you get the urge to make more power, then slap some rods and pistons and headstuds in it, then re-tune for more boost. but on a good motor (as in, good compression, no oil leaks, etc), i wouldn't think twice about boosting it to 250-300 hp. seriously spend more time reading in the boosted ls thread (i'd suggest starting from the last page, then jump back like 50 pages or so and read forward from there) and look at the setups guys are running and the numbers they are making. also, justin (turbo ls) in that thread really knows his **** and is always willing to help out everyone in that thread.

yeah i see where you guys are both coming from you and matt cause ive seen my fair share of stock LST's going good but you also get those guys who are pushing too much boost like i said i'm not looking to push a whole lot i would be happy with like 200HP but most people ive seen are pushing 250+ on stock internals i want my car to be really reliaible cause its my DD i really just want 200 ft/lbs ^_^

Well, update guys, as some of you know, my car keeps getting hit by stupid people, i replaced my fenders, door, rear bumper and valence, and guess that happened last night, my girlfriends mom's boss backed into my hood and bent it at the corner. Luckily it went in for paint and body work today. I'll be updating you guys hopefully on thursday with the results

haha something like that, the first time it go it was because one of my friends backed up and hit the door, then someone hit my rear bumper at work, then some dude hit my fender not once but twice (caught him the second time) at my girlfriends house, now hood got hit at gf's house..

The worse part about it last night, was that the boss had to bascially make a U-Turn, she only had to back up like 5 feet then start...My car was atleast 10-15 feet behind hers, and she managed to hit my hood and break one of the mounts off my 1 piece headlight without actually damaging the headlight

seriously, thank god it was the day before the car was going in for paint and body work, cause if she would have hit my car AFTER it had gotten painted it would be a whole different story haha
