BUILT NOT BOUGHT!
No worry.
90gs-96gsr: You prove a very good point. We have been over this many many many many many many times.. and i will say it once more..
Not everyone has the knowledge or proper tools to do all the work on their cars which is COMPLETELY UNDERSTANDABLE, But the concept BUILT NOT BOUGHT in THIS thread means you HAVE put in wrench time into your OWN car not just always dumping it at a shop for every little possible thing. 90gs-96gsr im not saying your thoughts are wrong nor disrespecting you in anyway but in this thread thats what build not bought means. IF people have a problem with that then they can feel free to go look at the hundreds of other thread on H-T.
so with that being said... ITS PEANUT BETTER JELLY TIME! where he at!, where he at!, WHERE HE AT! THERE HE GO!, THERE HE GO!, THERE HE GO!

oh bro no worries, no disrespect taken
but what i will tell you is this, there are people on here claiming to know kiale (91_ls) and saying talk to this person or talk to that person and he should not be part of your group.
The only reason i said anything at all is because i have known kiale (91_ls) for 10 years far longer than anyone else on here or any other forum can even attempt to claim. The whole reason he is in the import scene is because of me i got him into it. and the Integra he owns now i helped him find the right car and that was the car for him. And certain people are giving him a hard time because he payed a shop to do a motor swap, trans build and suspension.
It just kinda offended me, i understand you look at my join date and post count and wonder what is this, but if you want a true idea look at my join date on g2ic (90integ), or team integra (90gs-96gsr), then you will see how long i have been around. G2ic, june 27 2006, team integra, mar 7 2007 i have been on g2ic longer then any of the other guys who are giving him a hard time there and here.
It seems funny to me because one of the disputes is that they are giving him a hard time because theres a fight over who controls the bay area bi weekly threads over there on G2ic. Heres whats so funny on a forum board you have OG's and its just that, me (90Integ) and my friend TegBoi are the original OG's who started and controlled the Bay Area Biweekly threads over 4 years ago on G2ic. The whole reason the thread continued is because we handed it down to DarkDb1 and he passes it along and its a shame to see where it has gone now.
now honestly you would agree with me on this, taking on a motor swap and rebuilding the transmission is no small job and honestly i dont know your knowledge level on this so i wont go there because i will not disrespect speaking about what i dont know. But i have the knowledge to do it and i really wouldn't want to take that on again.
its a very time consuming and knowledge intense job which requires alot of expensive tools, and some people just cant do that because they dont have the proper tools to do it and cant afford all the equipment.
what people on here are talking about is just this, There talking about what they know about kiale for the time he has owned his Integra and only his Integra. they weren't there when he rebuilt his motor in his civic, or redid his wiring it was a full tuck, nor were they there when he did his under glow under hood kit. they weren't there when he rebuilt his Subaru from the ground up, nor were they there when he built his Lincoln he had. and at this time it was all by his hand
See the funny thing I was there, i understand BUILT NOT BOUGHT all i was trying to say to them was kiale did do his rims the way he wanted by himself, he did his side skirts the way he wanted by himself, he does his oil changes buy him self, he does his tune ups by him self, he just did a head gasket by him self, he did his intake by him self, me and him did his valve cover, we did his valve adjustment. He tries hard as hell to keep stock paint looking new thats work. And honestly people who hate on him because he wont do his car the way they demand are haters in my book.
I just dont think its fair because for once in his life he was able to relax and have a shop do some work for him because he was able to afford it. And the other thing those people need to stop with the harassment about the price he paid. Anybody want to prove the price he paid wrong im here in California we can meet at redzone and you can question the builders on why it costs what it costs
also last time i checked, some of the people giving him a hard time were upset them selfs in the past because people would not recognize the work they did to there cars and everyone kept saying it was someones else's work when the new owner did do allot of work to their car no disrespect intended but thats the same thing there now doing to kiale and at least kiale did do his work without it starting at someone else's hand weather it was paid at a shop or by his own hand.
91sedan_kid full respect is giving to you because theres going to be a hand full of people doing this to him and you are remaining calm about it.
now throw me some of that peanut butter and jelly and im going to sit back and watch this along with you.....
I sure hope this was not ment for me..... (also last time i checked, some of the people giving him a hard time were upset them selfs in the past because people would not recognize the work they did to there cars and everyone kept saying it was someones else's work when the new owner did do allot of work to their car no disrespect intended but thats the same thing there now doing to kiale and at least kiale did do his work without it starting at someone else's hand )
I also know that there is going to be a lot of haters, i mean come on its hater-tech.com we are talking about. No matter what anyone does there is always going to be some kind of hater hating on what you did or plan to do, But that shouldnt stop you from what you want to do.
Take me and my car for example. I have a B20vtec with an ebay turbo with knock off wheels.. I get **** from people for being B20 because they "arent reliable" Now im turbo, ebay turbo, and its still holding up fine. *knock on wood*
People give me **** about that but hey it works fine for me and its just a trail run before i really go all out and drop load of cash on a built motor and new turbo. I wanted to see how hard it will be to maintain and how hard it was to get my car to be a turbo car. Turns out it was easier than i had though. Now when i do have the money you better believe i will get a motor built for turbo and a new turbo as well.
As for my wheels yea they are sportmaxx and the rims i've own before were Rota and i get **** for that because they arent "real." I say fukc real wheels, I live in san jose in an area filled with thieves and my car was parked outside. Why am i going to go and do something stupid like buy real wheels just to let thieve spend 5-10 min stealing them? I would feel a whole lot better knowing they were fake wheels with tires that cost me $500 compare to real wheels that would cost me $1500-2000, for just the WHEELS alone. People can go on and on with this real vs fake crap but if your car aint a show car then i see no reason to have the REAL stuff when replica work and operate just the same. So what if the quality isnt the best, you get what you pay for.
As for my knowledge on motor and tranny rebuild. I do not have the proper tools to rebuild the motor or tranny but as far as putting the head on the block and torquing them down, timing, valvue adjustment, and dropping the motor in. No problem i can do. replacing the clutch, oil, and just maintaining the motor i CAN do. But as far as REBUILDING i CAN NOT. That why i take it to RNR to work on for me.
Like i said, Not everyone have the knowledge or proper tools and its completely understandable, But if you can not even do your own oil change then i wouldnt even consider the car built.
People feel free to criticize me and hate on my thoughts but its not going to stop me from doing what i wanna do with MY car and how i wanna do it.
What that being said! im going to go pop a banquet in the microwave and eat that while playing Nitto legends so the hater can post their reply's.
ps: if anyone plays nitto look me up "JDM EF2" or "XXR 521" NIM ME BISH!
Was up crew, checking in here. Did some work today on my right, not much but it was fun. I installed my white gauges and fixed my broken lock. Next on the list will be wiring up my LED running lights, little body work, new back brakes, replacing back bushings, trailing arm bushing (AGAIN) cause the other ones are cheep, and maybe do some engine cleaning (got some small rust spots needing to be taking care of.
I sure hope this was not ment for me..... this is just the example of people i know who are giving him a hard time. and these people went through this them selfs which is why i think they should understand more of his situation.
this entire post is only directed towards the people who continue to hate on 91_ls for the choices he made and the work he has done.
Reno, where everyone knows you're name and owned the car you bought..lol
I've seen one car go though 5 different peoples hands in little as 2 months because they don't want to fix it up. But don;t get me wrong, there are a handful of people in Reno that do have nice cars and did all the work themselves, but there also from Cali so dose that count?? lol

EDIT>so i went online and the sell 3 different bushings but not the one i need. If its not to much to ask,can you possibly post the link? Thank's

looks like your reflector bowl is damage, and you cut out too much, you shouldn’t of cut out noting at all, even a slight trim can mess it up. the dual beam hids won't work correctly in those projectors too. i suggest you take out the high beam bulbs, it's useless now. db1st is correct about the projector size, the ones that you are using are too small, especially a halogen projector. if you want to save $$ you might want to try a 94 to 01 integra projector or newer VW beetle projectors, but if you want to make it right, you are going to need the right parts. halogen designed projectors won‘t compare to hid designed projector, especially cheap aftermarket ones. im not trying to defend anyone but the reason why db1st tells you that you need to do more research is because it looks like you made big mistakes. there are people that spends countless days and weeks trying to make real good aftermarket projectors and you just cutting up a projector, throwing it in a headlight and using a hid bulb, then call it a retro-fit will make them laugh.
try this thread, it has helped me out alot, but i suggest you not post pictures of your projectors, i guarantee that you will get people to hate because there are people in that thread that does retrofit professionally. I think you should listen to db1st about retrofits because he does know what he is taking about. Everyone in that thread will tell you the same thing he has been telling you.
